Thesis Chapters by Enrico Lain
This text, drafted between 2001 and 2003, investigates the production of meaning in cities through architectural works, attempting to propose a non-historicist and non-postmodern reading. The main hypotheses, developed in the text, are the need for a suspension of form, the necessary specularity between thought and construction, the return to the political dimension through a practice of the imaginary that is not exhausted in representation, and the recognition of composition as a cognitive activity of the processes of formation.
