Emile Chen was born in Basra, Iraq in 1943. He attended UK in 1959 to study Civil Engineering. His nationality was withdrawn in 1964 and subsequently accepted as a British subject. After 42 years of dedicated life to Civil Engineering , Emile retired to become a researcher in the History of Iraq and history of the Jews of Iraq.
