Academic engagement is essential if students must fulfil their academic goals and key to their success. The research employed a correlational research design to assess the extent to which parental involvement and academic resilience can predict the academic engagement of secondary school students in Anambra State. The study was guided by three research questions and tested three null hypotheses at a significance level of 0.05. 19708 senior secondary class two (SS2) students made up the study's population, from which 960 samples were selected using a multi-stage simple random approach. The study employed three instruments, namely the Parental Involvement Questionnaire (PIQ), Academic Resilience Questionnaire (ARQ), and Academic Engagement Questionnaire (AEQ), which were validated by three experts in the field of Educational Psychology. To evaluate the instruments' reliability, the Cronbach Alpha technique was employed, yielding alpha coefficients of 0.72, 0.71, and 0.70 for PIQ, ARQ, and AEQ, respectively. Simple regression analysis was used to test the null hypothesis and simple correlation analysis was used to answer research questions. The results showed that academic engagement is positively correlated with parental involvement and academic resilience. It also demonstrated that parental involvement and academic resilience worked together to enhance secondary school students' academic engagement in Anambra State. The study's conclusions led to the recommendation that parents get active in their children's education to both strengthen their resilience and raise their academic engagement.

This study aims to investigate the relationship that cyberbullying has with the self-esteem, social development, and mental well-being of students in a federal university in Anambra State. The rationale is based on the increasing impacts of cyberbullying on students. The correlation research design was used for the study. The sample size consisted of 216 undergraduate students. Cyberbullying Scale (CbS), Self-esteem Scale (SES), Social Development Scale (SDS), and Mental Well-Being Scale (MWbS) were used for eliciting responses from the respondents. Cronbach Alpha was used in determining the reliability of the instruments which yielded alpha coefficients of .74 for CbS, .788 for SES, .847 for SDS and .823 for MWbS. Multiple correlations and linear regression analyses were used in the analysis of the data with the SPSS statistical software program. The findings revealed that cyber bullying has a significant relationship with university students' self-esteem and social development. There was no significant relationship between cyberbullying and mental wellbeing of university students. It was concluded that cyberbullying may be a critical factor that can impact aspects of students' psychosocial development such as their self-esteem, social development, and mental wellbeing. We sampled 502 teachers in Anambra State, Nigeria. Our findings revealed that while teachers' tolerance of frustration had significant positive effects on job satisfaction and inclusive education willingness for children with SENs, tolerance of ambiguity did not. Tolerance of emotional discomfort was significantly related to inclusive willingness of teachers. Furthermore, teacher job satisfaction mediated the relationship between tolerance of frustration and their inclusive education willingness but could not mediate that between tolerance of ambiguity and willingness to include SENs. We concluded that tolerance of frustration and discomfort can positively impact teachers' willing efforts for inclusion, highlighting the need to foster the emotional capacity of teachers, and provide supportive structures to enhance teachers' job satisfaction.

From a population of 3,112 internally displaced adolescents in 14 IDPs camp in Anambra state, 420 who manifest aggressive behaviours via administration of Buss and Perry aggression questionnaire (instrument) formed the sample for the study. Data were collected through questionnaire of 20 items structured to elicit information on the behavioural and emotional response of internally displaced adolescents to traumatic exposure. The instrument was validated by three experts in the field of education. Reliability of the instrument was determined using cronbach Alpha and an alpha coefficient of 0.81 was obtained. Research questions were answered using frequencies, percentages, mean and standard deviation. Pearson's Product Moment Correlation Analysis was used for testing hypothesis 1, while hypothesis 2 was tested using t-test. Result revealed that internally displaced adolescents in floodprone areas of Anambra state to a high extent experiences trauma. It also revealed that there is a significant positive relationship between exposure to traumatic experience and aggressive behaviours among internally displaced adolescents in flood-prone areas of Anambra state. The researchers recommend social support from Government, families and non-governmental organizations which may help adolescent disaster victims manage feelings of aggression, anxiety, depression and loneliness among others.

It utilized the ex-post facto research design. Three research questions and four null hypotheses guided the study. The sample size was 900 students (450 males and 450 females) selected using multistage sampling technique. Students' academic achievements were determined from their first term English Language and Mathematics examination scores. The research questions were answered using the mean while the null hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance, using ANOVA. The major finding from the study was that the mean academic achievement scores of adolescents differed significantly according to their mothers' educational attainment levels. Following the findings, it was concluded that maternal educational attainments significantly influence the academic achievements of adolescents in Anambra State, Nigeria. It was then recommended that teachers should employ individualized instructional strategies in classroom so that adolescents' unique challenges which perhaps emanate from low maternal monitoring and academic support could be addressed. Government and Non-Governmental Organization (NGOs) should also make efforts to give special assistance to mothers so as to enable them engage in adult education programmes. The knowledge and skills acquired through such programmes will equip them to assist their children in their educational pursuits and overall life endeavours.

INTRODUCTION University is a community of persons, both males and females, who engage in study and research for the common goal of intellectual development and technological advancement. As observed by Alemu (2018, p210), "A university is a higher learning institution that brings men and women to a high level of intellectual development in the arts and science, and the traditional professional disciplines, and promotes high-level research." In Nigeria, as well as many countries in the world, a university is established and run by the first tiers of government (Federal and State), individuals or religious bodies who have the wherewithal to fund it. Following this, there are Public and private universities in Nigeria. University education also follows the three-tier degree structure of bachelor's, master's, and doctoral-level studies. University education, irrespective of ownership (public or private), entrench a process by which those who are exposed to it, gender notwithstanding, are expected not to only develop intellectually (Alemu, 2018), but equally become worthy persons whose form of life as exhibited in the conduct of activities they are committed, are desirable (Okudo, 2012) and whose sense of judgment and thoughtfulness are commendable (Nwikpo, 2016). However, and quite unfortunately, research have shown that Nigerian university education is far from yielding the much-desired dividends (Nwangwu et al., 2021). This can be observed in the myriad of challenges that continues to plague the universities in the country, ranging from; corruption (Ezeh

The study adopted ex-postfacto research design to find out risky sexual and health behaviours and impact on psycho-social development of adolescents in tertiary institutions in Enugu state. Four research questions guided the study. A total of 300 students in 300 and 400 levels in three selected higher institutions in Enugu state formed the sample of the study. Data were collected through questionnaire of 40 items to elicit information on the impact of risky sexual and health behaviours on psycho-social development of adolescents. The instrument was validated by experts in education. Reliability of the instrument was determined using Cronbach Alpha and an alpha coefficient of 0.78 was obtained. Research questions were answered using frequencies, percentages and mean. Result revealed the prevalence of risky sexual and health behaviours among adolescents in tertiary institutions in Enugu state. It also revealed that risky sexual and health behaviours are associated with frustration, low self-esteem, feelings of guilt, sense of regret, abandonment by parents/siblings and loss of self-respect among others. The researchers recommend family interventions (good parental training and monitoring), counseling and rehabilitation services, emotional regulation skills and self-management skills training.
