Achieving desirable clinical goals mostly depends on making the right decision at the right time in any healthcare setting. But little is known about physicians' clinical decision-making in the primary care setting in Bangladesh. Therefore, this study explored the factors that influence decisions about prescribing medications, ordering pathologic tests, counseling patients, average length of patient visits in a consultation session, and referral of patients to other physicians or hospitals by physicians at Upazila Health Complexes (UHCs) in the country. It also explored the structure of physicians' social networks and their association with the decision-making process. Methods This was a cross-sectional descriptive study that used primary data collected from 85 physicians. The respondents, who work at UHCs in the Rajsha...

Non-volatile SRAM (nvSRAM) enables a chip to store the data after power-off mode. This non-volatility can be achieved through memristor memory technology which is a promising emerging technology with unique properties such as high density, low-power and good-scalability. This paper provides a detailed study of memristor and proposes a memristor based 7T2M nvSRAM cell. This cell incorporates two memristors, which store the bit information present in the 6T SRAM cell, and a 1T switch, which helps to restore the previously written bit in situations of power supply failures, thereby making the SRAM non-volatile.

Consequently, it is very important to understand and estimate this leakage current so that various leakage minimization techniques can be devised. So in this paper we attempt to estimate the subthreshold leakage current in an NMOSFET at 16, 22, 32 and 45 nm technology nodes. Various factors which affect the subthreshold leakage such as temperature, drain induced barrier lowering (DIBL) and other short channel effects have also been explored. All the measurements are carried out using extensive simulation on HSPICE circuit simulator at various technology nodes.

Different techniques are used to elongate network lifetime. Among them, clustering is one of the popular techniques. LEACH (Low-Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy) is one of the most widely cited clustering solutions due to its simplicity and effectiveness. LEACH has several parameters that can be tuned to get better performance. Percentage of cluster heads is one such important parameter which affects the network lifetime significantly. At present it is hard to find the optimum value for the percentage of cluster head parameter due to the absence of a complete mathematical model on LEACH. A complete mathematical model on LEACH can be used to tune other LEACH parameters in order to get better performance. In this paper, we formulate a new and complete mathematical model on LEACH. From this new mathematical model, we compute the value for the optimal percentage of cluster heads in order to increase the network lifetime. Simulation results verify both the correctness of our mathematical model and the effectiveness of computing the optimal percentage of cluster heads to increase the network lifetime. Recently, flexible cystoscopy became a popular alternative and an easy, safe and effective means of check cystoscopy in following-up patients of superficial transitional cell carcinoma (TCC) of the urinary bladder. Because of the frequency of tumor recurrences and the necessity of finding, whether a less invasive, easily repeatable investigation is capable of providing precise information about the bladder cavity, and, could decrease the frequency of repeated rigid cystoscopy under anaesthesia and inpatient admission; we have decided to perform this study. Methods: This is a prospective comparative study that involved 85 patients (70 male and 15 female) with a mean age of 61 years (41-80 years), who had undergone one or more transurethral resections for TCC of bladder (stage pTa and pT1; grade I and II.) in the department of Urology, BSMMU between July...

X-ray diffraction technique was employed to identify and quantify the minerals. The XRD patterns were obtained with Ni-filter Cu kα - radiation at a scanning speed of 2º2θ min and the amount of minerals was estimated by XRD peak intensities at parallel powder mount. Mica was the dominant clay mineral (33 - 51%) in all soils, followed by quartz (13 -19%). The kaolinite contents were small (8 - 10%) over the soils. The occurrence of vermiculite in the Digli and Taras soils (9 and 7% respectively) indicates a considerable transformation of mica. There is very little or no smectite minerals in the soils which might be due to poor parent material and disappearance of smectite from the top soils. Appreciable amount of primary minerals like quartz an...

This study afforded a new, mild and selective process for the preparation of 2-alkynyl-4-chloro-7-azaindole in good yields via CC bond forming reaction. The resulting chloro derivative can be functionalized further via another Pd-mediated CC bond forming reaction with arylboronic acid.

A variety of 2-alkynylquinolines were prepared from 2-chloroquinoline in good to excellent yields and the 2,4-dichloroquinoline afforded monosubstituted product i.e., 2-alkynyl-4-chloro quinoline with high regioselectivity. The methodology was found to be effective for the alkynylation of 1-chloroisoquinoline and 3-methyl-2-chloroquinoline.Graphical abstract

The age range of MM in our study was 40 to 85 years with a mean age of 63.25 years. Male to female ratio was 5:2 with a slight male preponderance. The median age of presentation was lower in females (60 years) than in males (65 years). MM was the second most frequent haematological disorder among all the patients examined, the most frequent one being leukemia. The frequency of MM was slightly higher among patients admitted in BIRDEM Hospital (10.4%) than those examined on outpatient basis (8.3%) although the difference was not statistically significant (P = 0.379 by Pearsons Chi square test). The highest frequency of MM was found in patients admitted in the depa...

This new intermediate 15 was prepared by Knoevenagel condensation of 3,4-dihydroxy-5-nitrobenzaldehyde 2 with 2-cyanoacetic acid 14 and was further condensed with diethylamine to get pure entacapone 1. Some of the important process-related impurities of entacapone (17, 18, 19, and
