The inclusion of distance education in formal educational processes pointed training opportunitie... more The inclusion of distance education in formal educational processes pointed training opportunities in higher education for those who are distant from training centers and, in addition, unveiled research objects. An example of this are the didactic materials, as necessary for effective learning in the distance. The range of materials is large and therefore it is interesting to know how these are being developed and used by those institutions that offer courses in this modality. It is known that there are different needs among students of distance education and presence courses that need to be addressed in didactic materials. But actually are? Considering the organization of study space as important in the educational process, as the spaces of didactic materials have been organized? What elements have been used to development layouts for the materials used in distance education courses? This questions are theme of this this written that will, with a case study, observe didactic materials produced to Brazilian distance courses. That observation shown us that analyzed materials have similarities with didactic products for face to face education.
A temática que circunda corpo e gênero tem sido compreendida como urgente no que concerne ao cont... more A temática que circunda corpo e gênero tem sido compreendida como urgente no que concerne ao contexto das investigações no campo da educação. Compreendendo que seja fundamental para além das investigações acadêmicas, foi desenvolvida uma pesquisa-ação denominada “Gênero e saúde na escola”, realizada no contexto da educação básica. O objetivo da proposta foi de oportunizar aos estudantes de uma escola pública de Porto Alegre/RS, a discussão e reflexão acerca de aspectos relacionados ao corpo e gênero. Para isto, foram desenvolvidos dois recursos didáticos, sob o formato de jogos, com o objetivo de problematizar essas temáticas, ainda veladas no contexto escolar, de modo lúdico. Neste escrito, estão descritos os referenciais, processos envolvidos no desenvolvimento e na testagem dos recursos didáticos. Por fim, observou-se que, com a utilização de recursos pedagógicos lúdicos, foi possível abordar temáticas, anteriormente consideradas desconfortáveis para os alunos, de modo efetivo.

Considering the material available to students as one of the highest priorities in the distance mode of education, describes here one part of the experience of the course Bachelor of Music in the distance mode of UFRGS and partner universities, linked to the Pró-Licenciatura Program of MEC (PROLICENMUS). It is expected do a contribution to the discussions relevant to the subject. This material is derived from an experience that has been developing since 2007.
Twenty-eight different tea samples sold in the United States were evaluated using high-performanc... more Twenty-eight different tea samples sold in the United States were evaluated using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with fluorescence detection (FLD) for their contamination with polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Many PAHs exhibit carcinogenic, mutagenic, and teratogenic properties and have been related to several kinds of cancer in man and experimental animals. The presence of PAHs in environmental samples such as water, sediments, and particulate air has been extensively studied, but food samples have received little attention. Eighteen PAHs congeners were analyzed, with percentage recovery higher than 85%. Contamination expressed as the sum of the 18 analyzed PAHs was between 101 and 1337 mg/kg on dry mass and the average contents in all of the 28 examined samples was 300 mg/kg on dry mass. Seven of the congeners were found in all samples with wide ranges of concentrations as follows: fluorene (7-48 mg/kg), anthracene (1-31 mg/kg), pyrene (1-970 mg/kg), benzo(a)anthracene (1-18 mg/kg) chrysene (17-365 mg/kg), benzo(a)pyrene (1-29 mg/kg), and indeno(1,2,3-cd)pyrene (4-119 mg/kg). The two most toxic congeners benzo(a)pyrene and dibenzo(a,h)anthracene
