The purpose of this chapter is to describe and study the dimensions that establish trustfulness b... more The purpose of this chapter is to describe and study the dimensions that establish trustfulness between management and employees in medium-sized companies in Bogotá DC as a key factor for the competitiveness of organizations. To do this, an analysis was made of the aspects that allow to resolve the confidence indicators, the most representative variables of each of these dimensions were established with their respective items, and finally, the incidence of these in each of the dimensions was statistically verified. With its variables according three hypotheses. Specifically, the result of the Hypothesis 2 (H2) will be described: “In the dimension of relational capital the internal relations acceptance basically depends on the fulfillment of agreements and recognition that the leader assumes with his collaborators.”

Micro and SMEs represent 96% of the companies legally constituted and registered at the Chambers ... more Micro and SMEs represent 96% of the companies legally constituted and registered at the Chambers of Commerce in Colombia, and between 70% and 90% are mainly family owned businesses. Many of Colombia's largest companies and most successful business groups were born as family companies. However several researches and investigations developed by EAN University have revealed that these Family Businesses are a constant focus of conflicts. Why? What makes them so prone to conflict? The purpose of this work is to show the possible causes of this grim reality, and to offer some alternatives for proprietors to take these arousing conflicts to transform them into opportunities for improvement, giving their organizations an opportunity to be sustainable over time.

This work aims to present the results of the application of the RISE model (innovation and busine... more This work aims to present the results of the application of the RISE model (innovation and business sustainability route) in 25 global purpose-driven micro, small, and medium-sized Bogotanas companies, beneficiaries of the Innova District project and its impact on the net margin. The working hypothesis is the management of innovation and sustainability has some impact on the net margin of the global purpose-driven micro, small, and medium-sized Bogotanas enterprises. It is a preliminary analysis, the findings and conclusions that were made based on the description of results and development of polynomial regressions only generated conclusive elements for the population of companies analyzed and the characteristics of the research proposed. However, the proposed hypothesis was verified for a group of companies, while, for a second group, the correlation between innovation and sustainability and the net margin was relatively low or almost nil.

Alberto Cárdenas, founding partner, general manager and major stockholder of "TPF", got up earlier than usual that December morning of 2010. He was both excited and preoccupied. On one hand that day the annual Christmas party for his company's collaborators (very seldom does he thinks of his company's workforce as employees or workers) was going to take place, and the activities organized promised a delightful day for all of them. This explained his excitement. On the other hand the evident growth sustained by the Colombian poultry sector during the past few years had allowed the company to expand, gaining recognition and position within the Bogotá Savanna 4 agricultural sector. During the last three (3) years (2008, 2009, and 2010) the company had witnessed a growth in its revenue and in its operations, and it has safe to say that his company was thriving. He was where most entrepreneurs dream of being, then, why on earth was he restless? After sipping on a nice cold beer while his guests arrived he began to find his answers.
