In a large-scale collaboration spanning 60 countries (Ntotal = 21,513), we examined the CAS’s measurement invariance and assessed the convergent validity of CAS scores in relation to the fear of COVID-19 (FCV-19S) and the satisfaction with life (SWLS-3) scales. We utilized both conventional exact invariance tests and alignment procedures, with results revealing that the single-factor model fit the data well in almost all countries. Partial scalar invariance was supported in a subset of 56 countries. To ensure the robust of results, given the unbalanced samples, we employed resampling techniques both with and without replacement and found the results were more stable in larger samples. The alignment procedure demonstrated a high degree of measurement invariance with 9% of the parameters exhibiting noninvariance. We also conducted simulations of alignment using the parameters estimated in the current model. Findings demonstrated reliability of the means but indicated challenges in estimating the latent variances. Strong positive correlations between CAS and FCV-19S estimated with all three different approaches were found in most countries. Correlations of CAS and SWLS-3 were weak and negative but significantly differed from zero in several countries. Overall, the study provided support for the measurement invariance of the CAS and offered evidence of its convergent validity while also highlighting issues with variance estimation

The key findings of each study were examined, including the methodologies used, the results obtained and the relevant conclusions. The papers were categorized and grouped according to common themes and emerging trends in the relationship between digital tools and meaningful learning. Special attention was paid to the limitations and challenges identified in the literature. In conclusion, the use of digital tools in the classroom can contribute significantly to the teaching-learning process, as long as they are implemented effectively and existing educational inequalities are addressed. Effective strategies implemented in Latin America to close the digital divide and reduce educational inequalities were identified.

It is a cross-sectional descriptive study through the bibliometric analysis of articles published in journals indexed in SciELO Peru between 2010 and 2017. Authorship, type of article, main themes, and institutional productivity were analyzed. It was found that between 2010 and 2017, 19 articles on ICT were published, 26.4% of them are publications in the Peruvian Journal of Experimental Medicine and Public Health, and 30.8% of authors indicate that their main affiliation is with the National University of San Marcos. The main theme in the set of publications was virtual teaching (26%). We can conclude that technological development is contributing to the scientific publication of the country; however, it is necessary to continue strengthening these studies in other databases.

To combat its dire consequences, some screening measures have been hastily developed and require robust verification to explore their adequacy across different groups. The present research study aimed to analyze measurement invariance by sociodemographic characteristics of the Coronavirus Reassurance Seeking Behavior Scale (CRSB) in Peruvian adults.MethodsA total of 661 participants completed The Coronavirus Reassurance Seeking Behavior Scale (CRSB), the Coronavirus Anxiety Scale (CAS), and sociodemographic information a subgroup filled in the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9). Reliability and measurement invariance across sociodemographic characteristics were analyzed. Likewise, associations with depression and dysfunctional coronavirus anxiety were examined.ResultsResults showed that the single factor structure of the CRSB with correlated errors fitted the data adequately and the instrument was inv...

We hypothesized that the associations of empathic prosocial concern and fear of disease, with support towards preventive COVID-19 behaviors would be moderated by the individual-level and country-level trust in the government. Results suggest that the association between fear of disease and support for COVID-19 preventive behaviors was strongest when trust in the government was weak (both at individual and country-level). Conversely, the association with empathic prosocial concern was strongest when trust was high, but this moderation was only found at individual-level scores of governmental trust. We discuss how both fear and empathy motivations to support preventive COVID-19 behaviors may be shaped by socio-cultural context, and outline how the present findings may contribute to a better understanding of collect...

With stagnant yields, resource depletion, labor shortages direct-seed rice (DSR) is gaining the interest of rice producers in southern China. This study investigates the impact of the adoption of DSR on rice yield and net rice income of Chinese farmers. We use plotlevel data from four provinces in southern China. Results indicate that rice yield increase by 3.1% for DSR adopters and by 0.7% if puddled transplanted rice (PTR) producers adopted DSR method. Finally, we find that net rice income increased by 66% if PTR method plots switched to DSR method. Adoption of DSR should be encouraged by policymakers.

The motivation of this research was to know: what is the real impact of the aims approached by the San Juan de Lurigancho city council in the PIGAR 2004 on the district population. PIGAR is constitute for 5 components. The specific goal of the component 4 (public cleaning: sweeping, collection and transference) is related with a quality service of collection and final disposition of the urban solid waste and, in the same way, the goal of the component 5 (Environmental awareness and citizen involvement) desires contribute whit civic environmental awareness education, where the population and business support in improving his environment and manage appropriately the solid waste. Around the solid waste management, was identify if the district population pick and separate his solid waste, furthermore, i...
