The growth of the world population, the technical-scientific and socio-economic evolution have le... more The growth of the world population, the technical-scientific and socio-economic evolution have led to the increase of the need for food products and the diversification of their range. Under these conditions, beekeeping acquires an increasingly important role as a food supply (honey) but also as a vector of growth of agricultural vegetal production through crop pollination. It also provides various products with a role in maintaining the health of the population through products with high prophylactic and therapeutic value. From a social and economic point of view, it is recognized that this branch of activity contributes to ensuring the prosperity of the population, especially in rural areas, through an additional source of income and the superior use of natural and human resources. In addition, beekeeping takes on an increased importance by supporting and stimulating the natural environment through the undeniable effects on floral biodiversity. National priorities addressed by this project are: Training of non-university teachers; and Development of lifelong learning in the society at large. In the project university teachers from 5 Serbian Universities will be trained in active teaching learning methodology, academic skills and eLearning. They will create courses for knowledge refreshment, professional improvement, and in-service training (Life Long Learning) of teachers of secondary agricultural schools and advisors in Extension services. In the virtual environment a platform for the National Repository for Agricultural Education - NaRA (http://arhiva.nara.ac.rs) is set. Courses: classic, blended and on-line (e-learning) are available on the NaRA portal. The choice of area and previous activities leads to one Local Action Group active in the previous programming period with specific knowledge and accumulated experience. The preparation for the current programming period creates the opportunity to analyse the directions and the volumes of the future intentions of projects in a sort of project pipelining during the information and animation meetings in the future Local Action Group. To attract young people to live and work in the rural area in Romania (as well as in any other pa... more To attract young people to live and work in the rural area in Romania (as well as in any other part of the world), one needs to ensure a set of advantages among which creating job choices / opportunities. Since non-agricultural job opportunities in the rural area are scarce, the best solution would be to create agricultural job opportunities. To do so, one needs to turn subsistence family farms into entrepreneurial family farms. The problem is that, apart from low access to financial resources for SMEs, young farmers also face poor entrepreneurial culture (lack of basic management knowledge and skills). NGOs (including LAGs) could be providers of training in agricultural entrepreneurship. This paper details the necessary specific entrepreneurial / managerial knowledge, skills, and work styles.
