Chi-Wen Lung
Chi-Wen Lung, PhD is currently an Professor of Department of Creative Product Design and Department of Bioinformatics and Medical Engineering at the Asia University, Taiwan. Dr. Lung received his Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering from the National Yang-Ming University, Taiwan in 2008. Afterward, Dr. Lung continued his Postdoc training in the Information Technology Research Center of Sports and Health, Institute of Intelligent Machines, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Hefei, China. There, he had developed advanced instruments for rehabilitation research. He received his BS and MS degrees both in Industrial Design from the Dayeh University and the Tatung University, Taiwan in 1995 and 1997, respectively. Dr. Lung was a Supervisor in the Job Accommodation Office, Bureau of Labor Affairs, Taipei City Government, Taipei, Taiwan. Dr. Lung has 12 peer-reviewed journal articles, 1 book, 2 book chapters, and 19 proceeding papers. His work is on the interface pressure distribution between human and orthoses, and its role on soft tissue injury. His approach has a high potential to improve the design of sport shoes and wheelchair cushions. He is interested in human machine interface and its application for the design of sport biomedical devices and technologies. Dr. Lung is a member of Taiwanese Society of Biomechanics, and The World Association for Chinese Biomedical Engineers (WACBE)
