Chime"s administration, 2007-2015. The source of information for this study is secondary source. Three research questions and three objectives guided this study. The general objective of the study is the relationship between the local government administration and rural development in Enugu State, Nigeria. The specific objectives were: to assess the role of the local government administration in rural development in Enugu State, to investigate whether job creation and provision of infrastructures by the government led to decline in rural-urban migration and to find out the relationship between governments budgetary allocation and rural development in Enugu State.

Employers of labour pronounced the graduates unemployable hence the preference for overseas-trained over Nigerian-trained graduates. Consequently, most parents, particularly the rich, prefer to send their children abroad for quality education thus confirming the poor funding, unstable calendar, inadequate infrastructure and manpower situations that surround the higher education institutions (HEIs) in Nigeria. This paper presents a review of the curriculum of Computer Science programme in Nigeria in comparison to other countries in Africa, Europe, America and Asia with a view to identifying the major gaps in curriculum design, implementation and delivery. Also, the quality assurance parameters of these countries are considered in other to formulate a suitable policy for enhanced quality of education in Nigeria.

The quality offered was pronounced even post-independence but the military incursion in politics brought about a decline in quality occasioned by poor funding and inadequate infrastructural development. These led to the massive exodus of the university dons to the developed world with better conditions of service, a development that is fondly referred to as “brain drain”. Consequently, most parents, particularly the rich send their children abroad in search of quality education but at the expense of moral upbringing and character development, the overall cost notwithstanding. Private universities came into existence in Nigeria since 1999 and till date, there are about 50 of them while the Public and State universities are 36 each. The Private universities offer a good balance of quality and character modeling and have become the preferred choice for most parents. The...
