Air pollution is increasing day by day due to the increasing population, urbanization, and indust... more Air pollution is increasing day by day due to the increasing population, urbanization, and industrial development. In our country, the amounts of pollutants in the air are recorded every day at different points. These recorded data continue to be collected in an increasing amount day by day. Information overload, which renders the data meaningless, complicates the interpretation of these data. One of the ways to solve this problem is to visualize curves and trends in measured pollution concentrations over time. In this study, using the data provided by the continuous monitoring center of the Turkey Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, visualization of different pollutants in the air was provided. Scatter plots, line scatter plots, and bar plots were used as data visualization. Data visualization makes it easy for non-experts to estimate air quality information from the concentration profiles displayed.

Bu çalışmada, MS COCO veri seti üzerinde İngilizce dili için encoder-decoder tekniğine dayalı bir otomatik altyazı oluşturma yaklaşımı önerilmiştir. Önerilen yaklaşımda, görüntü özniteliklerini çıkarmak için encoder olarak Evrişimli Sinir Ağı (CNN) mimarisi ve görüntülerden altyazı oluşturmak için bir decoder olarak Tekrarlayan Sinir Ağı (RNN) mimarisi kullanılmıştır. Önerilen yaklaşımın performansı BLEU, METEOR ve ROUGE_L değerlendirme kriterleri kullanılarak değerlendirilmiş ve her bir görüntüden 5 cümle elde edilmiştir. The new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 is an infectious virus with a long incubation period, which was fi... more The new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 is an infectious virus with a long incubation period, which was first detected in Wuhan, China, spread all over the world, seriously threatening human life. Therefore, accurate and rapid detection of SARS-CoV-2 is very important for controlling the epidemic and preventing its further spread. Currently, nucleic acid detection makes an important contribution to the prevention and control of SARS-CoV-2. In this study, a new and highly sensitive nucleic acid detection method for SARS-CoV-2 has been proposed. The nucleic acid sequences were digitized by Entropy-based mapping technique. Then, the digitized these sequences were divided into 100-unit sections using the sliding window method and given as input to Capsule Networks.10988 segments (5494 SARS-CoV-2, 5494 normal) are classified with capsule nets. With the proposed method, an accuracy performance of 100% was achieved by using capsule networks to identify SARS-CoV-2 from nucleic acid sequences. The results show that the proposed method successfully identifies SARS-CoV-2 from nucleic acid sequences.

Although some people do not have any chronic disease or are not in the risky age group for Covid-... more Although some people do not have any chronic disease or are not in the risky age group for Covid-19, they are more vulnerable to the coronavirus. As the reason for this situation, some experts focus on the immune system of the person, while others think that the genetic history of patients may play a role. It is critical to detect corona from DNA signals as early as possible to determine the relationship between Covid-19 and genes. Thus, the effect on the severe course of the disease of variations in the genes associated with the corona disease will be revealed. In this study, a novel intelligent computer approach is proposed to identify coronavirus from nucleotide signals for the first time. The proposed method presents a multilayered feature extraction structure to extract the most effective features using an Entropy-based mapping technique, Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT), statistical feature extractor, and Singular Value Decomposition (SVD), together. Then 94 distinctive features are selected by the ReliefF technique. Support vector machine (SVM) and k nearest neighborhood (k-NN) are chosen as classifiers. The method achieved the highest classification accuracy rate of 98.84% with an SVM classifier to detect Covid-19 from DNA signals. The proposed method is ready to be tested with a different database in the diagnosis of Covid-19 using RNA or other signals.

In the digitization process, the mapping technique to be chosen greatly affects the performance of the system for the genomic domain to be studied. The purpose of this review is to analyze how numerical mapping techniques used in digitizing DNA sequences affect performance in genomic studies. For this purpose, all digital coding techniques presented in the literature in the studies conducted in the last 10 years have been examined, and the numerical representations of these techniques are given in a sample DNA sequence. In addition, the frequency of use of these coding techniques in four popular genomic areas such as exon region identification, exon-intron classification, phylogenetic analysis, gene detection, and the min-max range of the performances obtained by using these techniques in that area are also given. This study is thought to be a guide for researchers who want to work in the field of bioinformatics.

Since there are a variety of liver diseases, till late-stage liver disease and liver failure occur the symptoms tend to be specific for that illness. Therefore, early diagnosis can play a key role in preventing deaths from liver diseases. In this study, we compare the accuracy of different classification methods supported by the SAS software suite, such as Neural Network, Auto Neural, High Performance (HP) SVM, HP Forest, HP Tree (Decision Tree), and HP Neural for the diagnosis of liver diseases. In this study, the Indian Liver Patient Dataset (ILPD) provided by the University of California, Irvine (UCI) repository is used.
