On the other hand, 60-70% of the forest has experienced significant damage and potential decline. Therefore, limited research has been carried out to provide information about the species composition of mangrove snails in four mangrove ecosystem zones with different conditions. Gastropod samples were taken based on purposive sampling method. The environmental data observed were air temperature (°C), air pH, DO (mg/l), salinity (%), canopy cover (%), maximum INP, tree density (trees/Ha), and substrate type. The study found 17 types of gastropods with the highest number of individuals being Sphaerassiminea miniata and the lowest being Littoraria pallescens, Lisachatina fulica, and Vittoida variegata. The results of the CCA analysis showed three groups of snails in association with environmental variables, namely groups that ...

O... more Central Bangka Regency is one of central orange production in Bangka Belitung Islands Province. One of the important pests of sweet orange plants is fruit flies (Diptera: Tephritidae). This research aimed to study the diversity of fruit flies (Diptera: Tephritidae) on sweet orange plantations in Central Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province. The fruit flies were collected using Lynfield traps which installed in three villages producing sweet oranges in Central Bangka Regency. The types of attractants used to trap male fruit flies are methyl eugenol and cue lure. The fruit flies collected during the study were 4795 individuals, 3 genera, and 14 species. Fruit flies collected from the methyl eugenol were different compared to those collected using lure attractant trap. Most species (13 species) of fruit fly were found in Terentang village, and the rest was same (9 species). Bactrocera carambolae and B. dorsalis were the dominant fruit fly species in the three research locat...

Perpat and Bunting in Bangka Regency have an adequate and natural mangrove ecosystems. However, studies on the structure of the gastropod community in this ecosystem is lacking. This study aimed to discover the structure of the gastropod community in the mangrove ecosystem. This study was carried out from October to November 2019 in riverine mangrove area located in Perpat and Bunting Rivers, District Belinyu, Bangka Regency. Samples were taken from 10 x 10 m plot from six observed stations. A total of 578 individuals of gastropoda were collected, comprised of seven families and 14 species. Number of species ranged from 4 to 9, while number of individuals ranged from 35 to 214. Cerithidea quoyii was a dominant species with 270 individuals (47%) and found in all stations. Gastropods community was in labile condition and prone to environmental change. Species composition of gastropods were sim...

One of them is heavy metal contamination that can affect the life of fisheries biota. This research conducted to isolate and test the Cu heavy metal resistance of marine sediment bacteria that are affected by tin mining activity. Sediment sampling was carried out in the area of tin mining to the mudflat neared to the mangrove area. Bacterial isolation was carried out by spread plate method and bacterial characterization included cell shape, Gram staining and biochemical tests. Furthermore, bacterial isolates tested for resistance to metals with concentrations of 10 ppm, 20 ppm, 40 ppm, 80 ppm and 100 ppm. The results showed that bacterial isolates originating from marine sediments affected by mining activity were resistant to Cu heavy metal at various concentrations. Isolates B6, B8 and A10 showed the highest resistance up to a concentration of 100 ppm

This research was conducted from March to June 2020 in four types of habitat, namely, rubber gardens, secondary forest, agroecosystem hatchery, and swamp forest using the Pollard transect method and the sweeping net technique for five days in each habitat type. The relationships between environmental factors and the number of species and individuals were analyzed with the Pearson correlation test. The number of individual butterflies obtained was 913 butterflies of 27 species from five families (Nymphalidae, Pieridae, Lycaenidae, Hesperidae, and Riodinidae). The highest diversity was found in rubber gardens (19 species) followed by secondary forest (17 species), swamp forest (12 species) and agroecosystem hatchery (10 species). The highest species diversity index was found in swam...

The people of Namang Subdistrict has long applied their ancestors tradisional ecology knowledge in culvating their rice fields and gardens. Exploring this knowledge and surpassing it would be beneficial to humankind. To collect the data, the present writer conducted field observation and interview by using snowball sampling method and scientific study. Namang society cultivates rice fields and gardens based on traditional knowladge. Farmer’s rice agroecocystems believe in the moon and the to plant rice is very influential on natural conditions, because nature for them greatly influences the success of rice fields. The murok jerameh tradition is a thanksgiving for the abundant rice yields and begs god that the following year’s harvest is also abundant. Tailings contain dangerous heavy metals one of which is Lead (Pb). The increasing concentration of Pb in the waters will also increase its concentration in the body of the biota, one of which is shrimp. The purpose of this study was to analyse the Pb content in gills, hepatopancreas and muscle in Penaeus merguiensis, analyse the Pb content in water and sediments, measure the ability of Penaeus merguiensis in accumulating Pb in water and sediments, and determine the safe limit for consumption. Shrimp, water and sediment samples were analysed using AAS. The results showed that the highest Pb concentration in Penaeus merguiensis was hepatopancreas> gill> meat, with an average range of 0,1897–0,4064 mg/kg, gills 0,2424-0,4770 mg/kg, and meat 0,1348-0,1636 mg/kg. The average Pb concentration in water ranged from 0,2624 to 0,5713 mg/L, while the sediment ranged from 0,2783 to 0,9760 mg/kg. The ability of Penaeu...
