These data show the evolution of the crystal structure from the ferromagnetic insulating state to the ferromagnetic metallic state. The data are modeled in space group Pnma with twin relations based on a distribution of the b axis over three perpendicular cubic axes. The twin model allows full structure determination in the presence of up to six twin fractions using the single-crystal x-raydiffraction data.

Acta Crystallographica Section E: Structure Reports Online is the IUCr's highly popu-lar open-access structural journal. It provides a simple and easily accessible publica-tion mechanism for the growing number of inorganic, metal-organic and organic crystal structure determinations. The electronic submission, validation, refereeing and publica-tion facilities of the journal ensure very rapid and high-quality publication, whilst key indicators and validation reports provide measures of structural reliability. The average publication time is less than one month. Articles are published in a short-format style with enhanced supplementary materials. Each publication c...

The structure of YMnO 3 is determined at room temp. and 180 K. YMnO 3 crystallizes in the hexagonal space group P6 3 cm with Z = 6 and is isotypic with LuMnO 3. The compound is ferroelectric with a frustrated displacement pattern. The electric polarization is cancelled by inversion twinning.-(VAN AKEN,
