Language anxiety, as a psychological factor, can significantly affect a person's communication abilities, especially in a foreign language such as English. Children in this age range, who are in the cognitive and linguistic stages of development, often experience anxiety when having to speak a language they have not fully mastered. Through a mixed-methods approach, this study explores the relationship between the level of anxiety experienced by students and their performance in English speaking tasks, as assessed through questionnaires, observations, and speaking tests. The results showed that higher language anxiety had a negative impact on speaking fluency, pronunciation, and overall communication competence. In addition, this research also investigates strategies that can be used to reduce language anxiety, such as creating a supportive learning environment, implementing anxiety reduction techniques, involving parents, and using interactive technology. These findings are expected to provide insight into the importance of treating language anxiety from an early age to promote more effective language acquisition and speaking performance in children's English learning.
