The directed chemical locomotion took place from the region of lower to higher pH with speed $13 body lengths per second due to asymmetric catalytic decomposition of dilute hydrogen peroxide across the motor surface. The negative surface potential of graphene coated motor developed an electrical double layer in an alkaline medium which in turn engendered electrophoretic mobility towards anode when the external electrostatic field was applied. Inclusion of sparsely populated ferromagnetic iron nanoparticles on the surface of the motor offered the magnetic remote control on the motion. The coupled in situ

This paper describes two new run-time mapping heuristics for mapping applications onto NoC-based heterogeneous multiprocessor systems-on-chip (MPSoC). The heuristics proposed in this paper attempt to map the tasks of an application in close proximity to each other so as to minimize the communication overhead. In addition, they ...

In this paper, we have presented a hybrid image watermarking technique and developed an algorithm... more In this paper, we have presented a hybrid image watermarking technique and developed an algorithm based on the three most popular trans form techniques which are discrete wavelet transforms (DWT), discrete cosine transforms (DCT), and singular value decomposition (SVD) against signal processing attacks. However, the experimental results demonstrate that this algorithm combines the advantages and remove the disadvantages of these three transform. This proposed hybrid algorithm provides better imperceptibility and robustness against various attacks such as Gaussian noise, salt and pepper noise, motion blur, speckle noise, and Poisson noise etc.

Instruction set extension is becoming extremely popular for meeting the tight design constraints ... more Instruction set extension is becoming extremely popular for meeting the tight design constraints in embedded systems. This mechanism is now widely supported by commercially available FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) based reconfigurable processors. In this paper, we present a design flow that automatically enumerates and selects custom instructions from an application DFG (Data-Flow Graph) in an architecture-aware manner. Unlike previously reported methods, the proposed enumeration approach identifies custom instruction patterns that can be mapped onto the target FPGA in a predictable manner. Our investigation shows that using this strategy the selection process can make a more informed decision for selecting a set of custom instructions that will lead to higher performance at lower cost. Experimental results based on six applications from a widely-used benchmark suite show that the proposed design flow can achieve significantly higher performance gain when compared to conventional design approaches.

The bandwidth is enhanced by using CPW ground plane and increasing the number of iterations. An impedance bandwidth of 4.3-15.5 GHz (113%) is achieved. The proposed third iteration antenna has nearly omnidirectional patterns at its resonance frequencies with an acceptable value of gain. The experimental and simulation results are found to be in good agreement. The proposed antenna has improved return loss performance and miniaturized size. V

Results: Various factors that can affect the extraction efficiency of molecularly imprinted SPE and dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction were optimized. The LOD and LOQ were found to be 0.19 and 0.63 µg ml-1 in urine, while in plasma it was found to be 0.28 and 0.87 µg ml-1, respectively. The percentage recovery of TEL in different matrices was found to be in the range of 81–97%. Conclusion: The proposed method may find wide applications in clinical, toxicological and QC laboratories for the routine analysis of TEL.

This could be attributed to association of multi drug resistance in ESBL producing isolates. The present study was aimed to determine the antimicrobial sensitivity profile of ESBL producing E. coli isolates from various clinical samples. Clinical samples, which consist of pus, urine, blood, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), stool, sputum, swabs, and different body fluids, are included in the study. Samples were processed and identified as per routine laboratory protocol. ESBL screening and confirmation along with antimicrobial susceptibility test was done according to the Clinical Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) guidelines. Out of 180 third generation cephalosporins resistant E. coli, 100 (55.55%) isolates were ESBL producers showing a greater degree of resistance to antibi...

Real-time multi-media applications are increasingly mapped on modern embedded systems based on Mu... more Real-time multi-media applications are increasingly mapped on modern embedded systems based on Multiprocessor Systems-on-Chip (MPSoCs). Tasks of the applications need to be mapped on the MPSoC resources efficiently in order to satisfy their performance constraints. Exploring all the mappings, i.e. tasks to resources combinations exhaustively may take days or weeks. Additionally, the exploration is performed at design-time that cannot handle dynamism in applications and resources' status. A run-time mapping technique can cater for the dynamism but cannot guarantee for strict timing deadlines due to large computations involved at run-time. Thus, an approach performing feasible compute intensive exploration at design-time and using the explored results at run-time is required. This paper presents a solution in the same direction. Communicationaware design space exploration techniques have been proposed to explore different mapping options to be selected at run-time subject to desired performance and available MPSoC resources. Experiments show that the proposed techniques for exploration are faster over an exhaustive exploration and provides almost the same quality of results.

This paper presents a DSE methodology that provides application to MPSoC architecture mappings, where different PEs get used. The methodology starts from a mapping using only one type of processors and evaluates different mappings by increasing heterogeneity to improve the performance.

It has been estimated that increased salinization of arable land will result in about 30% land loss within next 25 years. During times when agriculture is already under tremendous pressure, due to the ever increasing world population, it has become imperative that new, innovative methods be adopted to increase the crop productivity. Developing salt tolerant plants through traditional plant breeding and genetic engineering or using a combination of both, will enable farmers to counter the challenge of saline soils. The recent advances in the field of plant genomics, can help us better understand the complexities involved in salinity tolerance and can enable us to fortify the development of salt tolerant crop varieties.
