Further, phytosomes been applied to many popular herbal extracts or active molecules for augmenting oral dissolution. Therefore, in present investigation, orally administered Baicalein, atype of flavanoids, is poorly absorbed, and shows suboptimal dissolution. The phytosomes encapsulating baicalein (1:1 Mm) were prepared by reverse phase evaporation method followed by lyophilization. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis revealed that phytosomes were almost spherical in shape with particle size below 100 nm. The Powder ex-ray diffraction (PXRD) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) demonstrated that Baicalein loaded phytosomes were amorphous in nature. Amorphization of therapeutic moiety leads to improvement in dissolution. In conclusion, epigallocatechin loaded phytosomes exhibited promising results and warrant further in vitro andin vivo investigations under a set of stringent parameters f...

Ethosome become an area of research interest in formulation because of it’s enhance skin permeation and improve entrapment efficiency. Lamivudine and Stavudine loaded ethosomal carriers were prepared, optimized and characterized for microscopy, vesicular size, entrapment efficiency, stability and in-vitro release study. The entrapment efficiency of optimized formulation containing lamivudine ethanome F7 was found to be highest (74.12%) while F4 formulation showed least entrapment efficiency (58.81 %). Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) indicated that ethosome have a discrete spherical structure without aggregation. It has been observed the formulation containing phospholipid (3 gm) with 40 ml ethanol with Tween 80 and SLS has maximum entrapment efficiency. Percentage drug release of Lamivudine drug from ethosome formulation F7 was observed to be 78....

The dried plant extracts of all Material and methods: proposed plants were mixed with different excipient using wet granulation method to prepare tablets using compressing machine. Prepared herbal formulation was tested for studies for antidiabetic activity by using Streptozotocin in vivo induced diabetes model Effect of formulation were assessed by measurement of biochemical parameters and histological observations. : Preformulation study of the granules showed that all the evaluated parameters were Results within the acceptable limit. Prepared polyherbal tablet was selected that showed acceptable data of all characterization parameters. After treatment with formulation, STZ induced diabetic animals showed significant reduction in body weight, blood glucose level, and lipid profile when compared to the control animals. The serum total cholesterol, and Triglyceride level were significantly (P<0.01) decreases and restore near to the normal level. Polyherbal formulation treated animals reversed the effect of STZ on the renal antioxidant level. This may be due to the antioxidant mechanism of the individual herbs present in the polyherbal formulation. Observation of the present study was Conclusion confirmed that prepared formulation was safe, and effective for antidiabetic activity. It was confirmed that prepared formulation was able to restore lipid profile, blood glucose level and antioxidants level to the nearly of normal. These positive effects may attribute to the presence of various flavonoid constituents present in methanol extracts of all plants. Additionally this formulation also showed antioxidant effect that may another possible mechanism for antidiabetic effect of formulation.
