I would like to thank all the teachers who participated in this study, in particular the two teachers who allowed me to do my observation in their classrooms. I would also like to thank the Principals, Ms. Habza Schedlack of James Lyng Adult Centre, and Mr. Ben Fagan of High School of Montreal who supported this research. Many thanks to the English Montreal School Board and John Abbott College for their consideration and support, and to all my cohorts in the Masters Teachers program for their support throughout this degree. There were many individuals who contributed in helping me to complete this research project. I would especially like to thank my Academic Supervisor Dr. Elizabeth Charles for her time, understanding, patience, respect, along with her valuable comments and suggestions as a Supervisor throughout this study. Thanks also to Mr. Carlos Gomez Garibello and Lisa Hancock for their assistance with the statistical analysis of the survey questionnaire data, and Dr. Salwa Karboune for the French translation of the abstract. My journey through this Masters Teacher Program at the University of Sherbrooke Performa was not only a challenge but a learning experience that I will benefit from for the rest of my life. This degree involved many sacrifices from my family; I would like to thank my two sons, Alam and Asif for their constant support. Lastly, there are not enough words to thank my husband, Dr. Inteaz Alli who has supported me from the beginning to the end of this Maste?s degree. Thank you for believing in me especially for the times when I wanted to quit, you were always there with encouragement and unconditional love and support.
