A 37-item survey about pre- and post-RP evaluation and rehabilitation of sexual and urinary function was sent to 42 uro-oncology centers. Twenty-seven centers in Denmark (n = 6), Norway (n = 8), Finland (n = 7), and Sweden (n = 6) responded (64.3%). Post-RP sexual function was evaluated by 25 centers. The majority used validated questionnaires with significant variations across centers. Post-RP urinary function was evaluated by 24 centers. Again, the majority used a variety of validated questionnaires, while were 9 centers used objective measures including as uroflowmetry, residual urine volume, and daily pad usage. Twenty-one centers reported to offer sexual rehabilitation and 12 of these described their protocols. All centers administered PDE5Is and seven centers offered 2nd or 3rd line options. Two centers offered a...

Methods On a national level, we included all groin hernia repairs that had been reoperated a least once from January 1, 1998, to August 19, 2015. Results A total of 14,264 hernia repairs were included comprising a total of 7371 reoperations. We found that 26 % (n = 1883) of all reoperations were performed at a different healthcare facility. Time to reoperation, age at time of repair and having the primary repair performed at a private facility were all independent risk factors for being reoperated at a different facility in a logistic regression model. Conclusion One in four patients underwent repair for recurrent hernia at a different facility than the prior repair. Having the primary repair performed at a private hospital increased the risk of being reoperated at a different facility compared to having it performed at a public facility. This indicates that personal or institutional reoperation rates are underestimating the true reoperation rates, unless they can be followed in central registries or personal contact is made to all patients.

To translate emerging technologies and medical advances into use and accommodate the growing demand for urological services, we need strong collaboration with other health-care professionals within urology, other medical specialties and the community that surrounds our profession.

Aim: To assess the quality of information regarding erectile dysfunction (ED) in YouTube videos. Methods: We searched "erectile dysfunction" on YouTube in October 2019 and evaluated the first 100 videos in English sorted by relevance. Main Outcome Measure: We recorded the user engagement, video producer, intended audience, and content. Videos containing medical information were evaluated using the Patient Education Materials Assessment Tool (PEMAT) and the DISCERN quality criteria for consumer health information. The PEMAT evaluates the understandability and actionability of materials as a percentage. The DISCERN assesses the quality of information by a scale from 1 (serious or extensive shortcomings) to 5 (minimal shortcomings). Results: The median number of total views was 22,450 (range 591e20,255,133) and the median number of views/ month was 654 (range 9e723,398). 42 percent of the videos were posted by professional medical institutions, and 21% were posted by individual medical professionals. Most videos were aimed at the general public or patients suffering from ED. The median PEMAT understandability and actionability scores were both 100% (range 50e100% and 33e100%, respectively). The median DISCERN score was 2 (range 1-5) with 80.4% receiving a score of 3. Overall, 28% of the videos contained direct misinformation. DISCERN scores were higher in videos produced by medical institutions (P ¼ .0104), not selling specific products (P ¼ .007) and not promoting alternative medicine (P ¼ .0002). The number of subscribers was an independent predictor of views/month (P < .0001). Conclusion: Patients may be exposed to videos of poor quality when searching for information about ED on YouTube. The medical community needs to adapt a strategy to improve the quality of online medical information.

The aim was to compare patient-reported health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in men treated with enzalutamide vs AAP for mCRPC. METHODS We systematically reviewed the literature in June 2020 according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) recommendations. Patient-reported outcomes (PROs) until the last follow-up were summarised in a narrative synthesis. Short-term changes (12 weeks) in HRQoL, measured by the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Prostate total score (FACT-P), were compared between treatment groups and were analysed for enzalutamide and AAP in separate meta-analyses. Higher FACT-P scores indicate better HRQoL. RESULTS Eight studies were included in the systematic review, four of which were randomised clinical trials (RCTs) eligible fo...

The article is structured into a systematic literature review followed by a clinical part relating to percutaneous CEUS-guided procedures. A literature search identified 3109 records. After abstract screening, 55 articles were analyzed and supplemented with pictorial material to explain the techniques. In conclusion, the best-evidenced indications for CEUS-guided interventions are biopsy and ablation of inconspicuous or B-mode-invisible tumors, intraprocedural ablation control and follow-up, as well as percutaneous transhepatic cholangiography and drainage procedures.
