Over the last 11 years, this disorder has been studied by both neurologists and otolaryngologists. Based on the clinical symptoms and previous migraine history, the Barany Society and the International Classification of Headache Disorders have created the diagnostic criteria for VM. Unilateral and pulsatile headache, phonophobia, photophobia, auras, and a previous history of migraine have been included in these criteria. Although these symptoms are common and widely known, other symptoms not included in the Barany Society criteria are emerging and have been described in some clinical studies. These emerging criteria include audio-vestibular symptoms such as hearing loss, ear fullness, and tinnitus. Ringing ears could be associated with other vestibular disorders such as superior canal dehiscence and Ménière's disease, but not in VM. The frequency, pathophysiological contributors, and clinical characteristics of this symptom in individuals with VM will be explored in this review.

It generates the digital surface models (DSMs) of the forest canopy by advanced processing of the very-high resolution (VHR) optical satellite imagery and automatically matches the pre-and post-fire DSMs for 3D change detection. The FORSAT software system can perform the following tasks: pre-processing, point measurement, orientation, quasi-epipolar image generation, image matching, DSM extraction, orthoimage generation, photogrammetric restitution either in mono-plotting mode or in stereo models, 3D surface matching, co-registration, comparison and change detection. It can thoroughly calculate the planimetric and volumetric changes between the epochs. It supports most of the VHR optical imagery commonly used for civil applications. Capabilities of

The theoretical framework for this study was based on the work of Novak (2011) and Ausubel (1960). Their theories explore how the learner processes large amounts of meaningful material from verbal and textual formats in classroom settings. Analysis of the online questionnaire and face-to-face interview data indicated that the graduate students enrolled in the course effectively learn when they are learning collaboratively, in smaller chunks of information at a time,as subject matter experts and have an ease of access to the learning materials. Students also preferred non-traditional methods over traditional lectures, and become more involved when they participate...

Our recent preclinical work has suggested that PD-1/PD-L1 plays an important immunoregulatory role to limit effective antitumor T-cell responses induced by active immunotherapy. However, little is known about the functional role that PD-1 plays on human T lymphocytes in patients with malignant glioma. Experimental Design: In this study, we examined the immune landscape and function of PD-1 expression by T cells from tumor and peripheral blood in patients with malignant glioma. Results: We found several differences between PD-1+ tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL) and patient-matched PD-1+ peripheral blood T lymphocytes. Phenotypically, PD-1+ TILs exhibited higher expression of markers of activation and exhaustion than peripheral blood PD-1+ T cells, which instead had increased markers of memory. A comparison of the T-cell receptor variable chain populations revealed decreased diver...

DeLP provides the possibility of representing information in the form of weak rules in a declarative manner, and a defeasible argumentation inference mechanism for warranting the entailed conclusions. In DeLP an argumentation formalism will be used for deciding between contradictory goals. Queries will be supported by arguments that could be defeated by other arguments. A query q will succeed when there is an argument A for q that is warranted, i. e. the argument A that supports q is found undefeated by a warrant procedure that implements a dialectical analysis. The defeasible argumentation basis of DeLP allows to build applications that deal with incomplete and contradictory information in dynamic domains. Thus, the resulting approach is suitable for representing agent's knowledge and for providing an argumentation based reasoning mechanism to agents.

The objective of our research case study is to prove the benefits of this virtual work model in CEMEX, particularly applied to the management of business knowledge for the successful integration of the acquired companies. The paper proposes a research model which identifies the enabling components for the creation of economic, pragmatic and symbolic value in virtual organizations. The variables considered in our research belong to the enabling, implementation and sustainability phases of the model. The selected methodology was case study research, using interviews and surveys as instruments for the field research. The results obtained from this research offer tangible and intangible benefits for the organization when using the VWM.

We describe the design and implementation of a Defeasible Logic Programming Server that handles queries from several remote client agents. Queries will be answered using public knowledge stored in the Server and individual knowledge that client agents can send as part of a query, providing a particular context for it. The Server will answer these contextual queries using a defeasible argumentative analysis. Different types of contextual queries are presented and analyzed.

In this paper we will show how a Defeasible Logic Programming approach with an underlying argumentation based semantics, could be applied in a robotic domain for knowledge representation and reasoning about which task to perform next. At this end, we have selected a simple application domain, consisting of a micro-world environment using real and simulated robots for cleaning tasks.

We do so by giving the context and motivation for that research, listing its contributions, and discussing the main developments of the research and its impact.

This architecture is build on top of layered system, where each layer is associated with a different level of abstraction in terms of robotic specification. The proposed approach allows the declarative specification of goal driven robot behavior. However in order to cope with the dynamics of mobile robotics the reasoning mechanism allows reactivity when needed. Syntax, semantics and interactions of the proposed architecture mental components are defined and studied.
