To supports heavy loads and thickness of slab near the support with the column is increased and these are called drops ,or columns are provided with enlarged heads are called column heads .As the beam is not there in flat slab it gives the plain ceiling consequently giving better architectural appearance. The flat slab building is used these days because these structures offers many benefits which a normal slab structure does not provide .The objectives of this project is to compare multi-storey residential building having flat slab with conventional slab. The design and analysis is done by using ETABS software. This present work provides reasonable information about the stability of flat slab.

The study aimed to identify pre-treatment patient characteristics predictive of developing severe rash with vemurafenib therapy. Methods: This was a secondary pooled analysis of individual patient data from the BRIM-2, BRIM-3 and coBRIM clinical trials, including all patients treated with vemurafenib alone and vemurafenib plus cobimetinib. Patient age, sex, performance status, body weight, body mass index, liver function markers and estimated glomerular filtration rate were assessed for association with development of severe (grade 3 or 4) rash using logistic regression. Results: Of 962 patients treated with vemurafenib, 150 (16%) patients experienced severe rash. Female sex was identified as a significant risk factor for severe rash development (P < 0.001), having a twofold increased risk compared to males (22% vs 11%, odds ratio [OR] 2.17; 95% CI 1.52 to 3.09). Low body weight was also associated with increased risk of severe rash (P = 0.002), but this association was not significant after adjustment for sex. The association between sex and risk of severe rash was consistent across clinical trials and treatments (vemurafenib monotherapy, vemurafenib plus cobimetinib). Conclusion: Females had approximately twofold increased risk of developing severe rash compared to males in clinical trials of vemurafenib alone or in combination with cobimetinib.

A small proportion of cfDNA originating from tumour cells, known as cell free tumour DNA (ctDNA), has been shown to closely match the genomic profiles of tumour cells. ctDNA has demonstrated preliminary but promising results as an early ontreatment predictor of treatment response and as a means of tracking disease progression/treatment resistance in advanced cancers. However, the current studies are relatively small and use variable methods for detecting ctDNA and evaluating the performance of the approach. The ctDNA approach needs further developmental work in terms of standardization of ctDNA quantitative methods and techniques and harmonization of methods for evaluating predictive performance and results reporting. Replication of findings in large independent studies with pre-specified analysis plans are a priority direction for future research.

Physico-chemical and sensory analysis was evaluated. Marginal changes in pH, total soluble solids, acidity and vitamin C were observed. Estimation of vitamin C content of sample (29.61mg) showed high improvement in nutritional value of Bael juice incorporated with Aonla juice. The acidity increased (0.66-1.11) and pH of the juice decreased progressively during the storage period. The mean overall acceptability scores of more than 8 for juice samples up to 40% Bael juice incorporation. The sample (40:60 ratio) of (Bael:Aonla) indicated the commercial scope for manufacturing good and nutritious Bael juice blended with Aonla juice. Heat pasteurization by thermal processing i.e., (90 0 C for 25 sec) was more effective for inactivating the microbial flora. However the shelf life of juice was established within 45 days. The product is recommended for children, youth and elderly persons to be used within 45 days.

Without using any actual polling places, voting activity can be conducted digitally over blockchain using the infrastructure provided by the Systemic Intra-Voting Authenticator. With the help of blockchain technology, transactions are recorded in a decentralised digital ledger across a number of computers, making it impossible to change the record in the past without also changing all following blocks and getting network consent. It can be incorporated into voting processes to ensure an impartial election and lessen injustice. The Systemic Intra-Voting Authenticator uses adaptable consensus algorithms to support a scalable blockchain. Consensus algorithms are employed to make sure that each distributed system node is in agreement with the same system state. The voting transaction is made more secure and safe thanks to the Blockchain Security Algorithm used in the system. In order to execute a transaction in the chain, smart contracts offer a safe channel between users and networks. Smart contracts are automated contracts in which the contents of the agreement between buyers and sellers are entered directly into the contract. Security of the systematic intra-voting authenticator has also been brought up for consideration. The details of how to prevent a 51 percent attack on the blockchain and encrypt transactions using a cryptographic hash have also been covered. A blockchain network is said to be under assault if a group or organisation acquires control of more than half of its computer power. This is known as a 51 percent attack. I.

The fuzzy logic controller is used from a fuzzy logic toolbox in MATLAB. A single current sensor technique is used for closed loop current control. For closed loop current control of BLDC motor, the motor phase currents are measured using current sensors. These sensors are expensive and the use of different current sensors can cause undesirable imbalance in phase currents due to differences in current sensor sensitivities. These drawbacks can be avoided by using a single current sensor placed on the DC link. Here an algorithm is presented to obtain the phase current values from the DC link current. The proposed system was simulated using MATLAB/Simulink, with PI and fuzzy logic speed controllers. The simulation result shows that, the fuzzy logic controller gives better performance than PI controller.

The need for the administration two to three times a day when larger doses are required can decrease patient compliance. Sustained release formulation that would maintain plasma level for 8-12 h might be sufficient for daily dosing of metformin. Sustained release products are needed for metformin to prolong its duration of action and to improve patient compliances. The overall objective of this study was to develop an oral sustained release metformin hydrochloride tablet by using hydrophilic Eudragit RSPO alone or its combination with hydrophobic natural polymers Gum copal and gum damar as rate controlling factor. The tablets were prepared by wet granulation method. The in vitro dissolution study was carried out using USP 22 apparatus I, paddle method and the data was analysed using zero order, first order, Higuchi, Korsmeyer and Hixson-Crowell equations. The drug release study revealed that Eudragit RSPO alone was unable to sustain the drug release. Combining Eudragit with gum Copal and gum Damar sustained the drug release for more than 12 h. Kinetic modeling of in vitro dissolution profiles revealed the drug release mechanism ranges from diffusion controlled or Fickian transport to anomalous type or non-Fickian transport. Fitting the in vitro drug release data to Korsmeyer equation indicated that diffusion along with erosion could be the mechanism of drug release.

In India, different variants of the virus are spreading speedily across the country which causes a higher demand for large numbers of medical equipment and Oxygen gas cylinders for COVID-19 patients. Before this pandemic, such amounts of medical equipment and Oxygen gas have not been demanded in hospitals of India. The main objectives of this paper are: 1) to study the methods that assure reliable and economical delivery of essential commodities, 2) to research on the processes that permit easy access of essentials to all patients and registered suppliers when they are required, 3) to examine the dimensions of the agile supply chain and their utilization during pandemics, and 4) to contemplate the concepts and framework of the agile supply chain for the delivery and distribution of essential commodities during the Covid-19 pandemic.
