Therefore, accurate and reliable forecasting of PM2.5 concentration is essential to guide effective precautions before and during extreme pollution events. In this work, soft computing techniques, including Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and Gaussian Process Regression (GPR) are employed to predict PM2.5 concentrations in Delhi. Four models, namely, multi-layer feed-forward neural network (MLFFNN), General regression neural network (GRNN), Gaussian progression regression with ARD squared exponential kernel(GPARD_sqexp) and Gaussian progression regression with ARD rational quadratic kernel (GPARD_rat_quad) are built using meteorological and air quality data corresponding to a two-year period (2015-2016). In this work, ISCST3 air pollution model was applied to simulate the air quality for 24 hourly average ground level concentrations of SOx,NOx,PM and 8 hourly average for CO at various receptor locations. Based on surveys and questionnaires, an inventory was formulated for different Gensets and their characteristics. The ISCST3 model is based on a steadystate Gaussian plume algorithm. It has been developed by USEPA for assessing air quality impact from point, area, and volume sources. Emission rates for Different pollutants have been computed using empirical formulas for Gensets based on their capacity. Pollutant emitting potential has also been computed in this study. The predicted values simulated by ISCST3 model are 11.33μg/m for PM10,58.43 μg/m for SOx, 176.50 μg/m for NOx, and 57.02 μg/m for CO. Both monitored and predicted values have b...

The water quality criteria studied based on physical, chemical and biological properties of water include temperature, turbidity, total suspended solids (TSS), total dissolved solid (TDS), nitratenitrogen, pH, Dissolved oxygen (DO) biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) and total hardness. Water samples from around Gurgaon Canal in NCR union territerian New Delhi capital of India, were analyzed based on the afore-mentioned criteria to assess its suitability as a source of water for fish farming. The results of the analysis compared with international standards and also Indian standards revealed that the river temperature of 30.7 0C fall within the acceptable range for fish farming. However, the pH of 7.1, total hardness of 470 mg/l, total dissolved solids of 13.60 mg/l and biochemical oxygen demand of 36 mg/l all differed slightly from the standard recommended values. ...

Applications of Concrete alternative materials fall under the first category. The raw materials for making cement and aggregates are essentially limitless, since practically all of earth's crust can be utilized, if associated costs and energy requirements can be complied with. This course of action cannot be taken as there are other constraints that merit closer examination. The successful utilization of a waste material depends on its use being economically competitive with the alternate natural material. These costs are primarily made up of handling, processing and transportation. The waste materials that can be used in concrete are countless in number. The form in which they are used is wide and varied-they may be used as binder, as a partial replacement of conventional Portland cement or directly as aggregates in their natural or processed states. The stability and durability of products made of concrete using waste material over the expected life span is of utmost importance, particularly in relation to building and structural applications. Keeping all these considerations in mind and taking note of all required standard specifications, wherever possible. our Project aims at creating the confidence of using Waste saw dust ash as high value product in concrete. The project will explore several relevant issues that will be vital when using saw dust ash in concrete. The project will also examine ways to optimize the use of material so that they will offer maximum benefits to the concrete. The project will work out in making concrete industry sustainable. The basic necessity of man after food and water is shelt.

The purpose of this study is to examine safety management in the construction industry. The study involves data collection from general contractors and study specifically investigates the safety perceptions, attitudes and behavior of the construction workers towards management safety practices. A questionnaire was develop to collect data from two different construction sites. This study shows that 74.8% of workers are aware about the health and safety. The study will therefore raise awareness towards health and safety measures and will also assist project manager, engineers and other workers at the construction site in carrying out their work with minimum risk.

Despite its influence on multiple fields such as hydrology, the environment, irrigation, and agriculture, this parameter describes climate change and global warming quite well. The synergies of industrial and academic project partners enabled the creation and validation of a unique pilot line using carefully selected demonstrator projects. Simultaneously, the software infrastructure (process design kits, design tools and building blocks) needed to enable early access of the pilot line through multi-project wafer (MPW) fabrication runs was created. After ten MPW fabrication runs in last three years at two foundries, and successful realization of dozens of designs from the project partners and the external customers, the pilot line is fully operational and ready for open access. In this presentation, we intend to share the experiences we have gained in setting up the pilot line, and to discuss the opportunities and challenges we can expect in future.

Particulate Matter (PM10) is one of the major parameters to measure the air quality of an area. These are the particulate matter of the size 10 μm or less suspended in the air. PM10 occur naturally from volcanoes, forest fire, dust storms etc., as well as from human activities like coal combustion, burning of fossil fuels etc. The PM10 value is predicted by multilayer perceptron algorithm, which is an artificial neural network, Naive Bayes algorithm and Support Vector Machine algorithm. Total of 9 meteorological factors are considered in constructing the prediction model like Temperature, Wind Speed, Wind Direction, Humidity etc. We have then constructed an analysis model to find the correlation between the different meteorological factors and the PM10 value. Results are then compared for different algorithms, which show MLP as the best.
