Choosing a reliable and stable route with Quality of Service (QoS) constraints is always a challenging task because of the high mobility in VANET. This paper proposes an approach that prioritizes the transmission of traffic data packet according to the transmission distance and urgency metrics of messages before making a selection of routes. The approach utilizes a priority classifying a mechanism to differentiate traffic information into various priorities imposed in the VANET communications. The performance of the proposed approach was simulated extensively using NCTUns simulator in terms of throughput, packet loss and delay. The results obtained show efficient solutions on the impact of mobility for the prioritized flows in enhancing safety messaging. This approach makes safety messages to be transmitted with high reliability and low delay as compared to non-prioritized traffic flows.

MANET networks are established through interconnected devices that communicate wirelessly within a relatively small, shared area. In MANET every single mobile node is presumed to travel in all directions at different speeds with challenges and open issues. Hence there is no guaranteed long-term path from one node to the next. This work proposes testing the three most common ad hoc routing protocols Ad-hoc On-demand Distance Vector (AODV), Dynamic Source Routing (DSR) and Optimized Link State Routing Protocol (OLSR) using Optimized Network Engineering Tool (OPNET) Modeler simulations using the performance metrics of Throughput, Delay, and Network loading to find an effective routing protocol for routing. The traffic network is used by the File Transfer Protocol (FTP), Digital Education, Battlefield, Surveillance and Security Agencies may benefit from the research work. MANETs reduced the costs of installation, maintenance and operation of such facilities as base stations and also reduced the risk to a minimum such as pollution. The outcome of the simulation shows that: according to the AODV and DSR, the lowest delay in 50 nodes was around 31.25 seconds respectively. And OLSR also had a high throughput performance of around 80 per cent compared with AODV and DSR. And it can be concluded that OLSR is the most suitable routing protocol for MANET, based on the routing protocols suggested.

Therefore there is need to test hug possible number of input combinations. T-way testing is a sampling approach to minimize input combinations. Recently, adapting optimization algorithm for T-way testing is very interested. As a consequence, many t-way optimization algorithm based strategies have been designed and implemented. In order to guide software tester to choose the best software testing strategy, there is a need to evaluate and benchmark the performance of each strategy against common case studies. In this paper, we present a comparison between two strategies, Harmony Search (HS) and Flower Pollination Algorithm (FPA) based strategies. Our experiments have performed on a real-world case study. Experiments results demonstrate that the performance is almost the same for both strategies and there is no one strategy can always be the best; however HS-bas...

Descriptive method was applied in discussion of the results obtained. Soil samples were collected from10 most affected sites from the surface layer to 15cm (0-15cm) depth for Electrical Conductance measurement and soil textural analysis for determining soil salinisation in the irrigated fields. The ECe result obtained revealed that all the soil samples from the respective sampling sites have a range of ECe (dS/m) not less than 4 dS/m and are characterised as slightly saline. Sampling sites with ECe dS/m more than 9 ds/m are characterised as moderately saline. Other sampling sites with a range of ECe (dS/m) of more than 18 dS/m are characterised as highly saline. The textural analysis of the soil samples revealed that the greater part of the study area is dominated by Loamy sand and Sandy loam soils enhancing rate of soluble substances movement to deeper layers resulting in concentration of salt in the root zone. The progression increment of salinisation formation in the irrigated fields have turns some farmlands unproductive preoccupied by salt tolerant species. This has resulted to high decline rate of yield production capacity subjugating the aim of the project in boosting food agricultural production. To overcome the menace of soil salinisation problem in the irrigated fields to reclaim the abandoned farmlands there is need for application of gypsum regarded as the best remediation method and also through the use of halophyte species for agriculture.

Providing priority to certain traffic types has been widely used in V ANET for selecting a stable route with QoS constraints. This brings along another challenging task in V ANET environment. In an effort to provide QoS in VANET, the IEEE 802.1lp physical layer (regarded as VANET MAC protocol) experiences a huge amount of packet loss rate as a result of data collisions. Somehow its performance can be improved by using Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) techniques

It is a network in a small geographical region with several interconnected local area networks. To build a network for wireless devices, wireless local area networks use infrared or radio waves to allow users to relay data to each other without wire to cable limitations in the coverage area. Quality of Service (QoS) is considered one of the key challenges in wireless networks because of the bottleneck and the competition between different modes of traffic flow on the network. In this paper a wireless Campus Network design was developed to compare the QoS performance improvement of Wireless Campus Network using delay parameter. Two models (Short-Term and Long-Term) were designed and simulated using Optimized Network Engineering Tool (OPNET), OPNET IT GURU Academic Edition with linked between wireless workstations suitable for implementation to determine network delay performance. The two models contain the same number of wireless workstations but with some additional access points and multiples processors in the long-term model a Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) were employed to connect the access points with the routers and the cloud while 100BaseT cable was used to connect the servers and the firewalls. The wireless network delay were obtained in each case. The results obtained from these models showed that the Long-Term Model experiences much lower wireless network delay compared to the short-Term Model. Even though the number of wireless workstations are the same in both model but the topology of the long-term model contains additional Access Points and double processors which resulted to the observed minimum delay.

These microbes are naturally attached to the mineral ores, they used inorganic carbon as their source of carbon, and they flourished in a low pH environment. Usually activated and cultured in irrigated heap and stirred tank reactors. The environment within the reactors must be highly aerated, very acidic and in addition, temperature, carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) and presence of toxic elements or compounds are essential for the development of these microbes. The microorganisms work on the mining waste and dissolved the mineral into solution which is sent to the solvent extraction and electrowinning units where the metal is recovered at the cathode. Metals such as Copper, Gold, Silver, Uranium, Zinc, Nickel etc are now recoverable using Bioleaching process in many mining companies around the world.

In this research an algorithm is proposed to authenticate user only once by recording and encrypting user credential with one-way hashing algorithm (SHA2), this simplifies user subsequent logins into relying party by confirming user credentials without other authentication by IDP or HRP. Authentication time and response time continuous time plot of the proposed algorithm was plotted with respect to the arrival time of users in which we show the relationship of authentication time and response time with random arrival rate of users.

This study was undertaken to evaluate the hypoglycemic effect of glutathione complex in Alloxan induced diabetic rats. Thirty albino rats (weighing 120-130g) were divided into six groups of five rats each: Group one serves as normal control, group two served as diabetic control while Group three, four and five were diabetic and administered with 2.4mg/kg body weight, 3.6mg/kg body weight and 4.8mg/kg body weight respectively. All treatments were administered orally for 4 weeks on daily basis. Serum glucose level was measured at an interval of three days throughout the period of the experiment. Results obtained showed that administration of Glutathione Complex to diabetic rats caused a significant decrease (p<0.05) in serum glucose level compared to diabetic control. These results suggest that administration of Glutathione Complex to diabetic rats may help reverse the complications of diabetes mellitus.

In this paper, we review the empirics and interaction between corruption, oil rents and insecurity in Nigeria. Based on the theoretical submissions of the "Resources Curse Thesis", the paper argues that Nigeria's security challenges are more or less driven and triggered by corruption and oil rent, and the fact remains that oil rents tend to affect all economic activities, shaping the political system which certainly presents a reasonable explanation for both economic and political "Dutch Disease". However, we upheld the proposition that due to corruption, oil is problematic because the unearned income received by the government from oil rents leads to the neglect of other key aspects of the economy especially peace and social security.

In this regard, we attempt to introduce a new distributed model to improve the performance of QoS over fixed WiMAX with respect to parameters including throughput, delay and application response time, to enhance the services that are provided to the end users by minimizing delay, application response time and increasing throughput. A Model was developed based on the proposed new distributed model (Master-Slave), the first scenario comprised of 3 Base Stations (BS) and thirty Subscriber Station (SS) with one Master BS selected by the designed algorithm (Nearest Neighborhood Algorithms). Simulations run while increasing the number of BSs, SSs and master BSs using point-to-multipoint connection with multicast transmission based on Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM). The design has been evaluated using the simulation tool OPNET modeler 16.0. The results obtained from the three Scenarios shows significant increase in the network throughput and drastic decrease in network delay and application response time. Furthermore, with help of the distributed Master BSs, the coverage area of WiMAX has been increased. Thus greatly enhances the performance of Quality of service (QoS).

The recommended MAC protocol for VANET experiences a high percentage of packet loss. Somehow its performance can be improved by using Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) techniques. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm for multi-constrained QoS routing and show how to enhance the guarantees for bandwidth reservation based on TDMA environment where the bandwidth is expressed in terms of the number of time slots. We introduce stability scheme to identify stable links based on the neighborhood availability information in several different normal and TDMA-based scenarios. Simulation results show a great promise for network improvement in TDMA-based scenario for packet delivery ratio with up to 64.5% increase compared to normal scenario. In terms of packet loss, TDMA-based scenario performs better with as much as 47.2% decrease compared to the normal scenario.

Due to the connection less nature of such network, establishing stable route between connected nodes in VANETs is extremely important and challenging. This paper, proposes a new algorithm for multi-constrained QoS routing in vehicular network by adopting clustering approach. In the algorithm design, some QoS metrics are used in addition to the stability metrics for finding and establishing a stable route to destination. This is achieved by calculating the corresponding QoS provision values before selecting an optimal, reliable and stable route. NCTUns 6.0 network simulator was used for the experiment of the proposed scheme. Results show a significant improvement of the proposed approach in terms of broken links, routing overhead and end-to-end delay.

Over the years, little attention has been given to biofilm in animals with most of the research geared toward human biofilm diseases. The greatest challenge posed by biofilm is in its incredible ability to resist most of the currently existing antibiotics. This mystery can best be demystified through understanding the mechanism of the quorum sensing which regulate the pathophysiology of biofilm. Ability of biofilm formation in a variety of inanimate surfaces such as animal food contact surfaces is responsible for a host of biofilm diseases affecting animals and humans. In this review, we highlighted some of the challenges of biofilm in livestock and food industries. Also highlighted are; mechanisms of biofilm development, best diagnostic approach and possible novel therapeutic measures needed to combat the menace of biofilm in veterinary medicine.

The proposed scheme is inspired by the natural bee communications paradigm. The mobile agent concept is adopted from the bees' mobility behavior for network traffic information exchange among the VANET nodes aiming for a quality transmission of data packets. This is accomplished by calculating the corresponding QoS provision values based on certain QoS metrics threshold to determine a reliable and stable route between a source (beehive) and the destination (food source) node. The proposed scheme shows a better performance as compared to the AODV and DSR protocols in terms of packet loss and network throughput.
