This study demonstrated the photocatalytic and antimicrobial abilities of green synthesized silver-embedded zinc oxide nanocomposites (Ag@ZnO NCs). Zinc oxide with a unique mesoporous ellipsoidal morphology in size range of 0.59 ± 0.11 × 0.33 ± 0.09 µm (length × width) was synthesized using the aqueous extract of goji berry (ZnO-GB) by calcination in the air. Powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) revealed the formation of a hexagonal phase of wurtzite (WZ) structure. The average crystallite size of ZnO-GB was 23.74 ± 4.9 nm as calculated using Debye-Scherrer's equation. It also possesses higher thermal stability with the surface area, pore-volume, and pore size of 11.77 m 2 /g, 0.027 cm 3 /g, and 9.52 nm, respectively. Furthermore, different mesoporous Ag@ZnO NCs embedded with face-centered cubic (fcc) silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) in the range of 90-160 nm were synthesized by GB extract as a reducing and capping agent on the surface of ZnO-GB after calcination. The immobilization of Ag NPs was con rmed by XRD, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), eld-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), FE-transmission electron microscopy (FE-TEM), and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). It was found that Ag 0.2 @ZnO NC (0.2 wt% of Ag) showed excellent photocatalytic degradation of both methylene blue (MB) (cationic) and congo red (CR) (anionic) dyes under simulated solar irradiation. The photocatalytic degradation of 99.3 ± 0.35% MB and 98.5 ± 1.3% CR occurred in 90 and 55 min, respectively, at room temperature by Ag 0.2 @ZnO NC. Besides, these NCs also showed broad-spectrum antibacterial activity against both Gram-positive and Gramnegative bacteria. The mechanistic concept of generating reactive oxygen species (ROS) by electron and hole charge (e /h +) carriers seems to be responsible for the photocatalytic degradation of commercial dyes and antibacterial activities by Ag@ZnO NCs. Thus, these as-prepared green Ag@ZnO NCs are promising candidates as photocatalysts for industrial/wastewater treatment as well as in antimicrobial therapeutics.

HL has characteristics cells derived from B lymphocytes (known Reed–Sternberg (HRS) cells). Primary hepatic Hodgkin disease is very rare presentation accounting for less than 0.4% of the cases. Due to its rare occurrence, the pathogenesis of PHL is still unclear, Clinical manifestations, laboratory findings, and imaging features are usually nonspecific, making it difficult to diagnose. Patient Concerns: 69 years old Saudi Female, known case of Hypertension presented to our hospital with history of fever, jaundice, and poor appetite for about 2 weeks with significant weight loss. Diagnosis: Laboratory findings showed cholestatic pattern with total bilirubin 107.2 mg/dl, alkaline phosphatase 2076 IU/l, AST 153 IU/l and ALT 73 IU/l. Imaging with US revealed normal liver size with diffuse increase echogenicity, MRCP showed multiple stones within the gallbladder without evidence of obstruction or CBD dilatation and pan-computed tomography (CT) revealed mildly enlarged and fatty liver. CT-guided fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) and biopsy from the liver were consistent with primary hepatic Hodgkins lymphoma. Intervention: The patient received 5 cycles of ABVD. Outcomes: After the completion of the 5 cycles patient showed good response to the treatment with normalization of her liver function and regression in the size of liver on CT. Conclusion: PHL is a rare disease. The clinical presentation is variable and radiological features are not specific. Histology is mandatory for definitive diagnosis. The optimal therapy and outcomes for PHL is still unclear. ABVD is the most frequently used chemotherapy regimen. Multidisplinary approach including surgery and radiotherapy is another option.

The White House, together with a coalition of leading research groups, has published the freely available COVID-19 Open Research Dataset to help the global research community apply the recent advances in natural language processing and other AI techniques in generating novel insights that can support the ongoing fight against this disease. In this paper, the hierarchical and k-means clustering techniques are used to create a tool for identifying similar articles on COVID-19 and filtering them based on their titles. These articles are classified by applying three data mining techniques, namely, random forest (RF), decision tree (DT) and bagging. By using this tool, specialists can limit the number of articles they need to study and pre-process these articles via data framing, tokenisa...

Treatment modalities for onychomycosis may include oral, topical, or combination therapy with antifungals and at times may require chemical or surgical intervention. The burden of side effects of antifungals is enormous, and therefore using molecular docking-based drug selection in context with the target keratin protein would ensure better disease management. Ciclopirox, Amorolfine HCl, Efinaconazole, Tioconazole, and Tavaborole were submitted for assessment, revealing that Amorolfine HCl is the best fit. Consequently, two formulations (Nail lacquer and nanoemulgel) were developed from Amorolfine HCl to validate the in silico screening outcomes. The formulations were further fortified with over-the-counter ingredients vis-a-vis with vitamin E in nail lacquer and undecylenic acid in nanoemulgel for their prominent roles in impro...

PATIENTS AND METHODS A retrospective analysis of 136 adult patients that underwent Mini-PCNL or F-URS for a single lower calyx calculus. Participants that underwent F-URS were allocated to Group I, while those who underwent Mini-PCNL were assigned to Group II. Patients were discharged on the same day and followed up by CT after 3 months. Both groups were matched by stone size and density using propensity stone matching (PSM) and the matched group were further compared. RESULTS Before matching, there were statistical differences in stone size (p=0.02), preoperative hydronephrosis (p=0.004), and Hounsfield Unit (p=0.04) between both groups. A logistic regression model was created between independent variables such as stone size and density. The new groups following PSM were statistically similar in terms of age, BMI, stone size, and HFU (p=0.43, p=0.74, p=0.49, p=0.36). The SFR after PSM was not significantly higher in the Mini-PCNL group than the F-URS group (91.7% vs. 81.7%, respectively p=0.1) while the operative time for the F-URS group was significantly shorter than the Mini-PCNL group 54(49-64.3) min vs. 68.2(62-73.5) min, respectively, p=0.045. CONCLUSION Ambulatory Mini-PCNL and F-URS have a comparable hospital stay, SFR, and complication rates for treating lower calyceal stones 10-20mm. Both techniques may be considered acceptable treatment options, with a prolonged operative time in Mini-PCNL.

We may build function theories in higher dimensions based on this idea if we generalize harmonic functions and define the conjugate gradient operator. We study this type of function theory in \( \mathbb{R}^3 \) connected to harmonic functions with respect to the Laplace–Beltrami operator of the Riemannian metric \( ds^{2} = x_2^{-2k} \left(\sum \nolimits ^{2}_{i=0} dx^{2}_{i}\right) \). The domain of the definition of our functions is in \( \mathbb{R}^3 \) and the image space is the associative algebra of quaternions \( \mathbb{H} \) generated by 1, e1, e2 and e12 = e1e2 satisfying the relation e i e j + e j e i = –2δ ij , i, j = 1, 2. The complex field \( \mathbb{C} \) is identified by the set \( \{ x0 + x1e1 \, | \, x0,x1 \, \varepsilon \, \mathbb{B} \} \). The conjugate gradient is defined in terms of modified Dirac operator, introduced by \( M_{k}f = Df + kx_{2}^{-1}\overline{Qf} \), where Qf is given by the decomposition f (x) = Pf (x) + Qf (x) e2 with Pf (x) and Qf (x) in \( \mathbb{C} \) and \( \overline{Qf} \) is the usual complex conjugation.

The entire system of MIS is designed so that the organization will meet its specific aims. One of the most important systems that are very important to the organization is the system that can provide detail profiles of each staff. As a result, the staff management system has become one of the most important systems for improving the human resource management of any organization. In order to develop a system, there are many approaches that can be implemented. Studies had shown that by applying Unified Modeling Language (UML), many advantages can be gathered. Therefore, this paper describes the development of staff management system (SMS) using UML-based object-oriented approach. UML diagrams such as use-case diagram, class diagram and activity diagram are used prior to its implementation.

In this situation, testing human interactions with the software is more difficult than testing the machine programs because we are not aware of the human interaction sequences. For example, a user may double click payment button twice and he is charged money twice; or a user may intend to press button of delete data before he inserts no data. Since GUI interaction depends on users, we are actually expecting infinite number of different input instances from the various interactions from the user. So, test automation process could help in this situation; so it can facilitate generating and running all those test cases in order to cover as most as we can of the various user interactions. Graphical User Interface (GUI) is the front-end of the software where the user interacts with software through it. This paper presents the classification of GUI test automation techniques, presenting the concepts of the techniques and supporting them with several illustrations. Also, some open source tools for test automation are presented as examples. Finally, I have presented a comparison for each of those test automation classifications and the open source tools, so that a reader can get benefit and distinguish between them.

The design includes device evaluation, verification of designed matching circuits, and measurements of the designed power amplifier. Firstly, the optimum input and output impedances for the selected GaN HEMT chip from TriQuint Semiconductor Inc. are evaluated using load-pull measurement. The selected GaN HEMT shows extremely low optimum impedances, which are obtained using a pre-match load-pull method due to the limitation of the tuning impedance range of conventional impedance tuners. We propose a novel extraction of the optimum impedances with general pre-match circuits. The extracted optimum impedances are found to be close to those computed, using the large signal model supplied from TriQuint Semiconductor. Using the optimum impedances, the matching circuits of the power amplifier are designed employing the combined impedance transformer type based on EM co-simulation. The fabricated power amplifier has a size of 15 × 17.8 mm 2 , an efficiency above 45%, power gain of 7.7-9.9 dB and output power of 47-44.8 dBm at 9-10 GHz with pulse width of 10 μsec and duty of 10%.
