Personal exposure and deposition fraction of aerosol particles were studied in Vilnius, Lithuania, focusing on individuals working in an office and driving to work. Aerosol monitoring in the urban background was found to give an indication of the minimum concentrations of particulate matter (PM) expected at urban roads, as these correspond to the lowest PM concentrations measured there. In March 2021, PM2.5 concentrations at the urban background monitoring station reached values above the annual limit of 5 μg/m3 the World Health Organization in 50% of cases. Our study shows significant differences in exposure to air pollution in a car cabin and in a modern office. According to the multiple-path particle dosimetry model, the exposure of the person in the office is about 14 times lower than driving a car, where the minute deposition dose for PM1 is 0.072 µg/min for the period when the PM2.5 concentrat...

The things that prevent us from getting Covid is getting vaccinated and wearing a face mask. In this paper, we have implemented a new Face Mask Detection and Person Recognition model named Insight face which is based on SoftMax loss classification algorithm Arc Face loss and names it as RFMPI-DNN(Rapid Face Detection and Peron Identification Model based on Deep Neural Networks) to detect face mask and person identity rapidly as compared to other models available. To compare our new model, we have used previous MobileNet_V2 model and face recognition module for effective comparison on the basis of time. The proposed model implemented in the system has outperformed the model compared in this paper in every aspect
Coronary artery disease is one of the leading causes of death worldwide, and ST-elevation myocard... more Coronary artery disease is one of the leading causes of death worldwide, and ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) is one of its most serious manifestations. While STEMI itself is an ominous sign, there are other sinister electrocardiogram (EKG) patterns that are associated with increased morbidity and mortality, one of which is STEMI with right bundle branch block (RBBB). Blood supply to the right bundle comes from the left coronary circulation. Intuitively, RBBB in the setting of anterior wall myocardial infarction would indicate more extensive myocardial involvement and thus portend a worse prognosis. This case presents the significance of the association of new RBBB with critical lesions of the left anterior descending artery (LAD), therefore a low threshold for emergent coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). A 63-year-old man with a known history of non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM), hypertension, and hypertriglyceridemia non-compliant with medications presented to the emergency department (ED) after a visit with his primary care physician, with a chief complaint of exertional substernal chest pain for a one-week duration. His EKG on arrival showed significant ST-segment elevation with an atypical EKG pattern showing RBBB in V1-V2 with ST depression in reciprocal leads. Cardiac biomarkers showed an initial troponin I value of 0.441 ng/mL. Due to his persistent, worsening chest pain and associated nausea with episodes of vomiting, he was taken for an emergent cardiac catheterization that revealed a 100% lesion in his proximal LAD. The procedure was complicated by the development of cardiogenic shock requiring intra-aortic balloon pumps and vasopressors. A successful primary PCI was performed with drug-eluting stent (DES) to the 100% lesion in the proximal LAD and DES to the 80% lesions in the mid LAD, with 0% residual stenosis after the intervention. There was thrombolysis in myocardial infarction (TIMI) 0 flow pre-procedure and TIMI 3 flow post-intervention. Left ventriculography revealed anterolateral akinesis, apical akinesis, and diaphragmatic hypokinesis with an estimated ejection fraction (EF) of 20%. Transthoracic echocardiogram was repeated prior to discharge. Left ventricular (LV) systolic function was normal by visual assessment, and EF was noted to be ~55%. The patient continued on dual antiplatelet therapy and the rest of goal-directed medical therapy for coronary artery disease postprocedure. New-onset RBBB in the patient with typical STEMI in the context of ischemic symptoms should raise suspicion of critical proximal LAD coronary occlusion. It is increasingly being recognized as one of the significant EKG patterns for occlusive myocardial infarction associated with the worst outcome and mortality, highlighting the need to pay critical attention to these patients. Given the poor prognosis of these patients in the setting of acute myocardial infarction (AMI), it is essential to minimize the delay in initiating reperfusion therapy as they can potentially benefit from emergent intervention.

Moreover, diagnosing coronary artery disease in patients with COVID-19 may be clinically challenging. Herein, we present a case of in-hospital stent thrombosis and thrombotic occlusion of the right coronary artery after initial revascularization and adherence to antiplatelet therapy.

The soaring demand of water for different domestic and commercial uses along with the scanty potable water resources, there is a need to store water and to introduce new water resources. The water which is considered unsuitable for human consumption becomes more significant in different commercial and construction uses. As the resources of potable water are getting scarce, the raising demand of water constrain us to find out the different resources of obtaining water that would be usable for agricultural, commercial, construction and industrial purposes. This study deals with the physical and chemical treatment of sewage water obtained from City Nala, Quetta. A count data model is employed in regressing patent count on employment agglomeration measures, measure of scale, and some control variables. Measures of employment agglomeration and market concentration are found to have negative impacts on innovation in U.S. manufacturing industries. Two agglomeration proxies - Gini index and Ellison-Glaeser index have a negative influence on U.S. patented innovation for the study period. This result implies that the external benefit of spatial agglomeration of similar firms has waned down. The impact of market concentration is also found to be a negative factor for innovation. This result implies that firms with larger plant size are less innovative than those with smaller plant size. Impact of ‘share of workers with post graduate degrees’ on innovation was found to be a positive but statisticall...

In this paper we present an approach for identifying complex events in videos, starting from detection of objects and simple events using a state-of-the-art object detector (YOLO). We provide a logic based representation of events by using a realization of the Event calculus that allows us to define complex events in terms of logical rules. Axioms of the calculus are encoded in a logic program under Answer Set semantics in order to reason and formulate queries over the extracted events. DC Optimal Power Flow Method is fast when compared to nonlinear Optimal Power Flow and the accuracy level is acceptable for security analysis. It is widely used for active power flow analysis in the deregulated power system. As of now, there are few papers available in DC Optimal Power Flow Model for reactive power flow analysis. This paper proposes a new Optimal Q Flow (OQF) method for market clearing and settlement of pure reactive power market. A lumped linear model is proposed for power balance equality constraint for fast convergence. In this method, a unique reference for delivery/withdrawal point for reactive power called Market Center is proposed to share the total transmission loss equitably between the GENCO and DISCO participants in a transparent manner for pure Q Market using incremental loss factor method. This model uses a slack bus independent loss factors measured with respect to ''Market Center". The objective function is to minimize the cost of the reactive power payable to GENCOs with respect to the market center. The compensation received by GENCO participants and Locational Marginal Price to be paid by DISCOs participants are derived for N bus. The OQF method is tested on a Radial Five Bus System, Ward and Hale 6 Bus System and IEEE 30 Bus System. The bus voltage magnitude computed using the Iterative Q Flow method is accurate and obtained for a mismatch tolerance of 0.1 MVAr. In the proposed method it is found that the total bus loss is reduced considerably thereby minimizing the cost of the objective function.

Although CEP provides a scalable and distributed solution for analyzing complex data streams on the fly, it is designed for reactive applications as CEP acts on near real-time data and does not exploit historical data. In this regard, we propose a proactive architecture which exploits historical data using machine learning (ML) for prediction in conjunction with CEP. We propose an adaptive prediction algorithm called Adaptive Moving Window Regression (AMWR) for dynamic IoT data and evaluated it using a real-world use case with an accuracy of over 96%. It can perform accurate predictions in near real-time due to reduced complexity and can work along CEP in our architecture. We implemented our proposed architecture using open source components which are optimized for big data applications and validated it on a use-case from Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). Our proposed architecture is reliable and can be used across different fields in order to predict complex events.

The system has been in use for the past seven years and the issues that surfaced during this period resulted in the need to optimise the system. The core focus of this research was to understand and unpack the significant technical business issues that exist and to offer viable solutions. The research found that many data issues exist, which have been resolved through the incorporation of a data Historian and time synchronisation between different parts of the system. The hardware and overall system architecture have been studied with proposals to improve them. Manufacturing execution systems (MES) are regarded as empowering manufacturing plants and assisting in delivering superior benefits. It therefore became necessary to approach solutions from a strategic perspective to enable Impala BMR to have a competitive edge and be labelled as having the best Ampla system globally. An information activity map was developed to strategically outline core information flows within a manufacturing concern. A critical success factor framework based on the systems development lifecycle was created to guide the implementation of Ampla MES projects. Both tools are therefore of value to Impala BMR and Schneider Electric, the Ampla MES vendor. A gap analysis of Ampla functions found that the product requires the development of new functionalities and improvement on existing functionalities. This highlights the need to improve the product to compare favourably with its competitors as well as to deliver information requirements to Schneider Electric customers. An improvement plan was developed for achieving the core information requirements of Impala BMR by June 2010. The study closes by collating the learnings from the research into a concise Ampla MES implementation guide to add to the existing MES knowledge base and assist other companies embarking on such endeavours.
