This paper illustrates the effect of STATCOM connected whit an HVDC inverter feeding a weak AC network, on the recovery from commutation failures following AC side disturbances. MATLAB/SIMULINK simulation results have demonstrated the robust performance of the proposed system based on the first CIGRÉ HVDC Benchmark model against commutation failures.

To answer this question we used the econometrics of panel data for the MENA region (11 countries) during the period 1996-2014. The results of the econometric estimation show seven variables that are statistically significant, namely the Gross Domestic Product (economic risk variable), the current account balance as% of GDP (economic risk variable), the domestic investment rate (economic risk variable), external debt (financial risk variable), the debt service as percentage of exports (financial risk variable), the functioning of the state (variable governance) and corruption (governance variable). While different parts of the world are competing to further attract FDI, countries in the MENA region need to conduct adequate policies oriented towards improving the business climate and good governance to benefit from these funding streams deemed less expensive.

In this sense, we will try to have the link between corruption governance and economic performance in developing countries. At this level, we are dealing with an empirical study using panel data for a group of 30 developing countries over the period 1998-2011. Indeed, our results show that improving the quality of political institutions is associated with a decrease in the level of corruption and sustainable economic growth in developing countries. Finally, we conclude that the governance increases government accountabilities to citizens and also strengthens their commitment to policies chosen especially in the fight against corruption.

However, the localization of UDP-glucuronosyltransferases (UGTs), essential drug-metabolizing enzymes, has not been fully investigated in the liver and small intestine of cynomolgus macaques. In this study, UGT activities were analyzed in liver (five lobes) and small intestine (the duodenum and six sections from the proximal jejunum to the distal ileum) using typical probe substrates of human UGTs: 7-hydroxycoumarin, estradiol, serotonin, propofol, and zidovudine. In liver, UGT activities with respect to all substrates were detected, and the activity levels were similar in all liver lobes of the cynomolgus macaques tested. In contrast, in the small intestine, UGT activities toward all substrates were detected, but their levels generally decreased from jejunum to ileum in cynomolgus macaques. The localization of estradiol 3-O-glucuronosyltransferases and serotonin O-glucuronosyltransferases (which are mainly UGT1A enzymes) appear to be different in liver and small intestine. These results collectively suggest that, in cynomolgus macaques, UGT1As are differentially localized in the small intestine but are relatively homogeneously distributed in the liver.

Indeed, the objective of this article is to know if FTASbetween an ndustrialized region as Europe and a small country as Tunisia are capable of increasing exchanges among them and then improving the trade of the weakest country. Our aim is to know if agreements between industrial countries and developed countries are able to increase trade between them and therefore improve the trade of the less developed country. To answer to this question we evaluate the two effects of regional integration: trade creation and diversion trade. We obtain two main results: the first result is after five years of the agreement between Tunisia and Europe, there is no trade creation. The second result shows that the preferential agreement between the two partners does not generate trade diversion of imports. However, there is a trade diversion of exports.
