Gradually, with the intensification of globalization many new conceptualizations of the classical concept of citizenship were formulated to address global challenges. These shift away from the basic view of the interconnectedness of citizenship with a specific territory and give humans a wider, global identity with an associated appeal to global responsibility. One such concept is environmental citizenship. This article is aimed at examining the historical development of citizenship, particularly in its republican and liberal versions, and its conceptualisation in the context of environmental problems that overcome national borders. The demands on citizens must be adapted to this reality. This article highlights the growing potential of environmental citizenship as one...

Innovative research solutions and consumer neuroscience represented by biometric, neuroscience and behavioral studies in both real and laboratory conditions enable businesses to make more effective strategic decisions. Subject of interest is the investigation of the targeted impact of the deployment of aroma in spaces on behaviour of visitors, customers and employees, as in both domestic and foreign markets the number of companies implementing aroma technology (i.e. aromatizing their facilities or create brand olfactory traces) and at the same time practically apply it in...

African countries are still known as developing countries with weaker economies and many problems compared to European countries. However, people also in this part of the world want to obtain a standard of living comparable to the developed part of the world. In these countries there are also large companies that promote their products and use various modern tools to attract customers. Therefore, this paper pays attention to analysing, describing, and identifying the basics and importance of aroma marketing as a part of consumer neuroscience. Subsequently, we map, examine, and identify differences between the use of this modern marketing phenomenon in selected countries-South Africa and Slovakia-and compare the data we have collected. This study is primarily of theoretical interest and shows whether there is a significant difference between the use of aroma in marketing of the selected Global South and Global North country to influence consumer decision-making during the shopping and also the potential of aroma marketing in supporting sustainable development.

Scent as a means to influence the purchase of goods or services has a long history, however, aromachology as field of in-store communication is a matter of the present. This new trend, the importance and use of which has grown in recent years, is the subject of a wide range of research. In order to increase the efficiency of these elements, it is necessary to familiarise ourselves with the factors that affect the customer, whether that be consciously or unconsciously. Consumer neuroscience is addressed in this area. This paper deals with the comprehensive interdisciplinary investigation of the impact of selected aromatic compounds on consumer cognitive and affective processes as well as assessing the effectiveness of their implementation in food retail operations. Their importance has been rising because of growing global problems and population. This is in particular the case of the global Southpoorer, less developed-countries with weaker economies. In this respect, the concept of sustainable agriculture and its implementation in practice has becoming important. The goal of this paper is to present the need for implementation of sustainable agricultural practices in the global South countries, but mainly to examine the current perspectives of sustainable agriculture in Kenya, as a selected developing country, fighting with many problems of global nature. It is a country where about 35 percent of population are in age from 15 to 34 years, and where is a big need for effective sustainable agriculture practices. But to do so there is also a need to support young people in the field of farming. The article will then present the level of this supports from the government and in the context of international development through various mechanisms. In the end we will present the current status in analysed areas and a broader view on the examined issues.

The interest of the international community in reducing these problems and achieving sustainable development of the world has been therefore graduating. However, in order for these efforts to be successful it is necessary to be active and also spread awareness among people. In particular, young people must be aware of the problems and possibilities to be able to operate actively in achieving sustainable development. Therefore, the paper will examine the importance of sustainable development concept in the countries of global South which are usually more affected by global problems, and especially its place and importance in Jordan as selected global South country. The main part will consist of the examination and analysis of the implementation of sustainable development concept in Jordanian higher education as the sphere which influence the personality and future conduct of young people in a high extent.

Consumer neuroscience has growing potential here, as it reveals internal consumer preferences by using innovative methods and tools, which can effectively examine consumer behavior and attract new customers. In particular, smell has a great ability to subconsciously influence customers and, thus, support profitability. This paper examines the importance of consumer neuroscience and its modern technologies used for exploring human perceptions to influence customers and benefit from the aromatization of business spaces. We focused our analysis on various service sectors. Despite the potential of the examined issue, there are a limited number of studies in the field of service providers that use neuroscience tools to examine the effect of aromas on human emotions. Most studies took place in laboratory conditions, and the used methodological procedures varied widel...

The research model includes variables from the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and the Norm Activation Model (NAM). The research was conducted in Poland and Slovakia, which are similar in terms of economic, social, and cultural conditions, located next to each other in the same climate zone, but differ greatly in terms of meat consumption and the direction of its change. Whereas in Poland, the meat consumption trend is rising, it is declining in Slovakia. The results of this study revealed that only attitude toward the impact of meat consumption reduction on the environment and personal norms related positively to intention to reduce meat consumption due to environmental reasons in both countries. However, in the country with decreasing meat consumption (Slovakia), the influence of attitude on intention was much stronger than in the country with increasing meat consumption (Poland). This study is the first to examine which predictors of intention to reduce meat consumption due to environmental reasons are simultaneous in two countries that have significantly different meat consumption levels and directions of change.

If we maintain this way of development the survival of humanity on the Earth will be impossible in future. In this context, the environmental awareness, disseminative global responsibility as well as environmental dimension of citizenship, are discussed today with the raising importance. In this paper we are going to examine and analyse the concept of environmental awareness. These empirically based facts will be reflected, analysed and put into the context with the environmental citizenship concepts. At the end we are going to present the results of the Eurobarometer surveys focused on the relationship of the EU citizens to environment and their environmental awareness and evaluate the current state in this area. The main findings have shown that environmental awareness of European citizens is raising, but it still does not have the appropriate level. This can have highly negative impact on the ...
