Many hospitals in Malaysia are still using the MRI safety checklist printed form. Besides, clinicians will not get a definite conclusion about whether the patient is contraindicated for MRI or not. Hence, we have created one mobile application named MagnetoSafe to overcome this issue. The application will provide an instant decision on whether the patient has no contraindication, relative contraindication, or absolute contraindicated for MRI. We need to check for acceptability and user experience for any newly created mobile application. Objective This study was designed to check the validity of the adapted Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and System Usability Scale (SUS) Questionnaire. Method The validity and reliability of the questionnaire were investigated. Subsequently, 52 fully completed responses were collected. Results Face and content v...

BI-RADS 5 category in the mammogram report found breast lesion with a highly predictive of malignancy. Age, ethnicity and breast density are the primary risk factor in developing breast cancer. The objective of this study was to identify age, ethnicity, and breast density differences in BI-RADS 5 among mammographic patients at University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC). This study was conducted retrospectively from 2015 to 2019 in UMMC. The subject criteria selected for this study are women aged 40 years and above which categorized in BI-RADS 5 from the mammogram examination. Patient's data on age, ethnicity, and breast density were retrieved from the Radiology Information System (RIS) of UMMC. Among 110 cases, 20% were in the age group of 40-49, 28.2% in the age group of 50-59, 35.5% in the age group of 60-69 while the 16.4% were between 70-79 years old. By ethnic distribution, the majority were Chinese with 46.4%, followed by Malays 42.7%, and 10.9% were Indian. 14.5%, 40.9%, 33.6%, 10.9% of patients were classified as having categories AD breast density, respectively. The study indicated women were in the age group of 60-69 and Chinese ethnic group are most likely to develop breast cancer. Although many studies have shown that risk factor for breast cancer is greater for denser breast tissue, this present study shows that BI-RADS B (scattered fibro glandular breast tissue) is most likely to have breast cancer. It is therefore important to have a regular follow-up of these patients and to raise the awareness of these patients.

Once injected, it will stimulate a foreign body reaction between body tissues and silicone. This reaction can cause the formation of a granuloma known as siliconoma, which represent by the lumping at the breast. This symptom usually mimics breast cancer and sometimes be the origin of breast cancer. This paper is focused on the discussion on radiographic appearance of silicone and a case study of breast siliconoma. Case Study: A 66-year-old Chinese female with a family history of cancer presents with palpable painless lumps in her breasts. The lumps were present in both breasts without any mobility and other inflammatory processes. Mammographic examination demonstrated a dense bilateral mass towards the chest wall and asymmetrical rounded densities in both breasts. There are no breast cancer indications were reported. The pathology demonstrated a...

Lacunar stroke is one type of stroke. The aim of this study is to determine the dependability of gender differences in lacunar stroke epidemiology on patient age as the influence of gender on stroke risk and outcome changes across the lifespan. Thus, this study was to identify age, and gender differences among lacunar stroke patients at University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC). This study was conducted retrospectively from January 2016 to December 2019 in UMMC. Patients were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The inclusion criteria include a clinical diagnosis of lacunar stroke, age categories of middle age (40 – 59 years old) and older age (60 years and above), as well as undergo CT examination. The exclusion criterion is other than lacunar stroke patients. Patient’s data on gender and age were retrieved from the database PACS of UM...
