Traffic forecast, traffic modeling, visualization can help to provide appropriate route and time for traveling and thus provides a significant impact on traffic jam reduction. For traffic forecasting, modeling and visualization, city-wide traffic data collection and analysis are needed, which is still challenging in many aspects. This paper aims to develop a tool for acquiring and processing traffic data from Google Maps that can be used for forecasting, modeling, and visualization. Dhaka city is used as a case study since there is no infrastructure available for traffic data collection. The traffic flow intensity of the road is analyzed to determine the congestion of the road. The flow intensity is used for traffic modeling, visualization, traffic prediction and many more.

The nanowire is fashioned into a spin valve with cobalt and nickel contacts using electrochemical self-assembly. The spin relaxation length is long in the dark since˜96% of the electrons occupy the lowest conduction subband at room temperature, which results in near elimination of the D'yakonov-Perel' (DP) spin relaxation. Under IR illumination, electrons are excited to higher subbands by IR photons, resulting in the revival of the DP relaxation and a threefold shortening of the spin relaxation length [1]. This changes the resistance of the spin valve and therefore has applications in a novel spintronic IR photodetector that can ideally work at room temperature with infinite light-to-dark contrast ratio, infinite detectivity and zero dark current if all other spin relaxation mechanisms are eliminated and spins can be injected into the nanowire and detected with 100% efficiency.

Both the longitudinal (LO) and the transverse (TO) optical phonon peaks are suppressed in a magnetic field. The TO phonon peak experiences a slight red-shift and the LO phonon peak experiences a slight blue shift. These results are important for phonon engineering in nanowires and have a bearing on electronic and photonic devices implemented with nanowires.

The study was focused on identifying appropriate forecasting model for total labor force participation in the Bangladeshi economy. Secondary labor force data for the period of 1990 to 2019 were obtained from the world development indicators. The stationary of the series was tested by several popular tests such as ADF, PP, and KPSS test. The key purpose of this study is to forecast total labor participation in the economy of Bangladesh. We applied STATA and R-studio software to check the stationary and to build an appropriate ARIMA model. Based on previous data

And the purpose of this paper is to critically investigate the assertions and the indication. Several issues are examined: the children’s understanding of advertising, the content of advertising to children, children’s food choice and behavior, and the effect of advertising on food choice. Recognized conclusions are the following: that children understand the function of advertising from the age of 5–9 years, although there are some limitations on how effectively they apply this knowledge; that children play an active role in food choice in families; that children’s dietary preferences and habits are well-established before advertising is understood; and that advertising’s role in children’s food choices and preferences is multi-factorial and complex. The sample of 100 respondents was selected through random sampling all over the country. The study found that food promotion by TV adverti...

However, when the contacts are slightly heated, the peaks change into troughs which are signature of anisotropic magnetoresistance (AMR). Under heating, the differential thermal expansion of the contacts and the substrate generates a small strain in the cobalt contacts which enhances the AMR effect sufficiently to change the peak into a trough. This shows the extreme sensitivity of AMR to strain. The change in the AMR resistivity coefficient due to strain is estimated to be a few m-m/microstrain.

With the increasing number of the population over the world, the demand for agricultural products is also increased. In order to increase the production rate, irrigation technique should be more efficient. The irrigation techniques used till date are not in satisfactory level, especially in a developing country like Bangladesh. This paper has proposed a line follower robot for irrigation based application which may be considered as a cost-effective solution by minimizing water loss as well as an efficient system for irrigation purposes. This proposed system does not require an operator to accomplish its task. This gardening robot is completely portable and is equipped with a microcontroller, an on-board water reservoir, and an attached water pump. The area to be watered by the robot can be any field with plants, placed in a predefined path. It is capable of comparing movable objects and stationary plants to minimize water loss and finally watering them autonomously without any human intervention. The designed robot was tested and it performed nicely.

It is believed that either Ag atoms bind to thiol groups in bacterial enzymes or Ag + ions enter bacterial cells and denature the DNA molecule to kill bacteria. Silver nanorods, however, may kill bacteria by another mechanism: it is possible that the sharp tips of the nanorods puncture bacterial cells and kill bacteria via impalement-a physical mechanism. To test if this can indeed happen, we have compared the antimicrobial properties of silver and CdS nanorods. No significant difference is found between the two even though CdS does not possess the chemical properties of silver. This indicates that the physical kill mechanism is indeed likely and therefore nanorods of any material may possess anti-microbial properties. In that case, it is possible to overcome serious short-and long-term health hazard issues which have been posed by silver nanoparticles by replacing them with nanorods of innocuous elements or compounds. A surface containing nanorods of varying heights presents an undulating bed of spikes to microbes and is most inhospitable to bacteria.

Among all the major NCDs, 1 hypertension is considered as an independent as well as etiologically relevant risk factor for CVDs. 2 The surge of hypertension is significantly contributed by high dietary salt intake and a causal relationship between them is globally established now. 3 The physiological need of dietary salt is 3.8 gm which is less than the recommendation of 5gm salt per day by WHO. Hence it is considered that there is a pragmatic compromise exists between the beneficial and achievable in terms of reducing salt consumption. 4 Evidence suggests that a reduction in salt intake from 9-12gm a day to a recommended level would project to prevent 2.5 million annual deaths from cardiovascular diseases worldwide. 5,6 Therefore, population wide salt reduction is considered as one of the quickest and cost effective way to combat high blood pressure. 7,8 But implementation of salt reduction program in the context of Bangladesh will have to harmonize with salt iodization. This coordination is necessary to achieve both the targets and it is worth fully possible to reduce salt consumption by ensuring that iodine requirements are met. 9 The mean of daily salt consumption was 5-16gm in coastal areas, 10-12 5-7g in rural areas and 9-11gm in different urban areas among Bangladeshi general population which is more than the WHO recommendation for total salt consumption. 13,14 But the salt intake pattern in term of knowledge, attitude and practice was not assessed yet in Bangladeshi urban population. In a survey of Nottingham University a high proportion of respondents (83.8%) believed salt to be detrimental to health but overall there was a poor level of

Therefore, the ability to modulate these quantities with an external agent offers unique possibilities. The dominant spin relaxation mechanism in most technologically important semiconductors is the D'yakonov-Perel' (DP) mechanism which vanishes if the spin carriers (electrons) are confined to a single conduction subband in a quantum wire grown in certain crystallographic directions, or polycrystalline quantum wires. Here, we report modulating the DP spin relaxation rate (and hence the spin relaxation length) in self assembled 50-nm diameter InSb nanowires with infrared light at room temperature. In the dark, almost all the electrons in the nanowires are in the lowest conduction subband at room temperature, resulting in nearcomplete absence of DP relaxation. This allows observation of spin-sensitive effects in the magnetoresistance. Under infrared illumination, electrons are photoexcited to higher subbands and the DP spin relaxation mechanism is revived, leading to a threefold decrease in the spin relaxation length. Consequently, the spin sensitive effects are no longer observable under illumination. This phenomenon may have applications in spintronic room-temperature infrared photodetection.

Unlike existing simultaneous transmit and receive (STAR) systems targeted for commercial WiFi, our Joint Analog and Digital Cancellation (JADIC) architecture requires no prior knowledge about the structure of the interfering waveform. Our JADIC system demo will highlight its self configuration capabilities and its ability to suppress 100+ dB of wideband and narrowband jammer energy.

ABSTRACT DARPA's Shared Spectrum Access for Radar and Communications (SSPARC) program see... more ABSTRACT DARPA's Shared Spectrum Access for Radar and Communications (SSPARC) program seeks to improve radar and communications capabilities through spectrum sharing. Spectrum sensing is an integral component of this vision. For example, a spectrally-agile military radar system could adapt the frequency bands it uses according to the sensed spectrum. Currently, radar transmission and spectrum sensing must be multiplexed in time. That is to say, sensing the use of a particular frequency band is only possible during time slices where the radar is inactive in that band. In this paper, we describe how emerging Simultaneous Transmit and Receive (STAR) technology could be evolved to support simultaneous radar and spectrum sensing. We review the state-of-the-art in STAR technology and identify the key challenges associated with achieving contemporaneous radar operation and spectrum sensing on the same platform.
