This article publishes an account of a new flat cemetery located near modern Frontovoe village (N... more This article publishes an account of a new flat cemetery located near modern Frontovoe village (Nakhimovskii district, Sevastopol), which was discovered and completely researched by a team of the Institute of Archaeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences during the rescue works of 2018. The cemetery in question appeared in the late 1 st c. AD and existed as long as the early 5 th c. AD. Chronological zones of the cemetery have been determined, particularly considering the dates of 40 coins plus. The article supplies a characteristic of funeral rites and main categories of the finds, particularly about 15,000 beads, 800 vessels plus, and about 4,000 other artefacts (mostly metal ware).

Она представлена кувшинами, блюдами, мисками и светильниками. Рассмотрена их типология и хронология по аналогиям. Проведен планиграфический и хронологический анализ этих находок из Фронтового, предложено соотнесение типов рассматриваемой посуды с зоной второй половины III - середины IV в. и зоной второй четверти IV - начала V в., для каждой из которых выделяется и поздняя часть. The paper is devoted to the preliminary publication of red-slip ware ceramics from the graves dating to period 2 (second half of the 3rd - early 5th centuries) from the Frontovoye 3 necropolis. Ceramics are represented by jars, plates, dishes and oil lamps. The paper reviews their typology and chronology based on analogies.
