Syeda A Shehzadi
Dr. Syeda Aaliya Shehzadi is currently serving as Assistant Professor of Chemistry at SA-CIRBS, IIUI Pakistan. Dr. Shehzadi has more than fifteen years of experience in Organic Synthesis, mainly focusing on C-N, C-C and C-Heteroatom bonds utilizing new, feasible and sustainable synthetic methodologies to access heterocyclic compounds of biological interest. Alongside Dr. Shehzadi has also experience in material synthesis such as metal-oxide based nanostructured materials, MOF, COF and organic adsorbents for wide range of applications such as heavy metal detection, industrial waste water treatment, chemical sensing of
environmental pollutants and photocatalytic degradation of pesticides and other emerging pollutants such as microplastics. Moreover Dr. Shehzadi focused on the interface of organic-inorganic materials or combination of both to address the current challenge. Dr. Shehzadi has published her work in various well reputed journals. She has won the indigenous 5000-PhD Scholarship for doctoral study by HEC Pakistan. She was also awarded the IRSIP fellowship at Georgia-institute of Technology by HEC Pakistan. She is also alumna of prestigious Erasmus-Mundus Joint Doctorate fellowship availed at University of Antwerp Belgium. She has supervised 32 MS-Chemistry students at SA-CIRBS, currently five MS and five PhD students are working under her supervision on various topics.
