Nine form of Durga
Goddess Skandamata, the mother of Lord Skanda (Kartikeya), is a symbol of maternal love and strength. She cradles her divine child with all-encompassing love and grace. On this special day, we honor the nurturing and protective energy of a mother, seeking her blessings for our own journeys.
Devi Skandamata
Devi Skandamata is the fifth form of Goddess Durga worshipped during Navratri. She is depicted as holding her son, Lord Skanda (also known as Kartikeya or Murugan), in her lap. "Skanda" refers to Lord Kartikeya, who is the commander of the army of gods, and "mata" means mother. Devi Skandamata represents motherly love, protection, and nurturing care. She is depicted with four arms, two of which hold lotus flowers, while the other two bestow blessings upon devotees. Worshippers seek her blessings for the well-being and protection of their children and family.
Shubh Navratri
"Goddess of Auspiciousness and Courage" Mantra - ॐ देवी कालरात्र्यै नम: 🙏 This is the stage when Maa Durga is in her form of destruction. Maa Kalratri is the seventh & the fiercest or angriest form of the Goddess Durga. The three-eye Goddess has a dark blue-black complexion and wears a garland of skulls & snakes. Maa Kalratri is also known as Shubhankari as she killed the demon Shumbh. May the unmatched strength and power against the demons of Maa Kalratri bless us and grant us the strength to face life’s trials! #navratri #ShubhNavratri #worship #goddess #sanatanihindu #devimaa #navratri2024 #happynavratri #india #hotelparadisemansion
