Leak propelled by ink experiment | Science Experiment for Littles
Super easy to do and so cool to watch! For this experiment all you need is : - container with water (bowl, plate) - leaves - pens (take the pen apart so you can add the ink to the leaves) This happens because of Marangoni effect, the ink has a lower surface tension than water, lowering the surface tension behind the leaf. As the water still has a large surface tension, it pulls the leaf forward!
