Having renovated our bedroom and the rest of the upstairs when we decided to update the ensuite Microcement from @smartcret was the perfect solution for us as we could go straight over the existing tiles causing no mess

Available in a range of colours and can be applied to many surface types it is a great modern alternative to simply tile in your bathroom.

The most asked question we get when our friends come over is how do we have a skylight on the ground floor flat in a 3 story building.. and the answer is we don’t! We actually bought a very cheap electric office skylight, ripped down the existing ceiling, raised it to maximise room height and then boxed it into a recess to give it that skylight effect. We chose a 6000 Kelvin(k) office light that essentially mimics natural daylight to turn what was once a dingy windowless vanity room to our bright and cosy ensuite. As you know, we have built a few doors over the years in our bungalow, including our barn doors on the bathroom and the dining room but we knew that once we were ready to tackle our bedroom doors, we would want something different, something with warm wooden tones and basically something more statement... And these doors are exactly that! The only issue was while designing these, oak doors can be very pricey, but we came up with the idea of using an oak veneered MDF instead which is definitely more wallet friendly, but still looks as good! We had a little help on this project from our joiner as this bungalow is super wonky and with the floor to ceiling design there was literally no room for any errors
