In addition, the country's National Vision 2030 has also emphasized on the country's goal to construct green buildings as a key aspect in building future development; this means all developers shall adhere to this vision. Despite earlier studies finding that there is no significant difference in average costs for green buildings as compared to non-green buildings [1], there is a general idea among building stakeholders that capital costs of constructing green buildings are significantly higher than conventional building. LEED the dominant system in the United States market and is being adapted to multiple markets worldwide, however relying on this system to assess the sustainability of the building could cost more in Middle East compared to US. This study aims to investigate, through twenty five actual LEED projects, the cost impact of sustainable buildings design in Qatar. Real model prices were examined and introduced. All of the projects are located in Energy City Qatar where different LEED ratings have been utilized. Their cost has been examined and found to be higher than earlier studies results.
