Chicago Shakespeare Theater uses outstanding voices, swift choreography, dynamic costumes and computer-animated graphics to bring the enchanted world of Belle and Beast to life.

Built in 2004 and totally refurbished in 2016, this is a beautifully designed, critically acclaimed all-inclusive package of sets, props, costumes, sound effects, and all magical illusions, available as a complete package or in component packages (all sets and props, or all costumes - not individual items). The set design by J Branson intentionally evokes the milieu of the original Disney film, and the entire package provides a magical environment for this exquisite all-family classic.

I choose to do my costume design blog on those that were used in the Broadway production of Beauty and the Beast. I choose this production because I thought many of the costumes were very interesting. Such as the character of Lumiere, the candle, his costume had to have been very carefully thought out.
