Why Old-Fashioned Garden Tips Don't Always Work (But We Love Them!) — Empress of Dirt
🌻 Marc 🪴Head Gardener & Podcaster on Instagram: "How to build a really simple planter from a pallet One thing I didn’t mention the reel is I added a board in to the bottom on top of the blocks and then used old compost bags to line the planter before filling with compost. Tools required hand saw and a electric screwdriver and some screws Simple but effective 👍🏻"
5.8M views · 377K reactions | My only regret is not making one sooner 🤌 No more dragging dirty fruit and vegetables into the house. Everything will get washed and prepped right here 🥦🥒🥕🥬 Will also be used as a potting bench, a space to make cut flower arrangements and the hardware cloth top will make for a perfect curing table for my onions and garlic when that time rolls around. There isn’t much to this multipurpose garden wash table. It took me about 30-45 minutes to throw together. I purchased the wood because I’m an impatient person and wanted to start using this asap - but had I taken more time I probably would have ripped down a couple skids to save money like other projects I’ve done in the past. ** I bought ** 2 - 4x4x8 for the legs 3- 2x4x8 +1- 2x4x10 for the table top. I found a stainless steel sink in great shape at my local restore for $15 (but again, if you’re patient you could probably find one for free!) The hardware cloth I had leftover from predator proofing our chicken run this spring. Picked up a few little scrub brushes from the dollar store. All the grey water from my sinks will drain into a tote or barrel to use in the gardens 💦 The only thing I may add yet is a low shelf that sit along the back behind the sink to store little things. What do you think?
