Muhammad Mubashar Ahmad Dogar
Mr. Dogar has done B.Sc & M.Sc in Physic from GC University Lahore, Pakistan. He has completed his Ph.D. degree in the field of Climate Modeling from Hokkaido University, Japan and received a highly prestigious RONPAKU Gold Medal Award from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) for conducting outstanding research. He has been among the vibrant and intellectual students at GC University, Lahore. Currently, he is doing research in the field of Earth Science (Atmosphere/Ocean Science) at the Department of Earth Science & Engineering (ErSE), King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Thuwal, Saudi Arabia. Before joining KAUST, Mr. Dogar worked as a Scientific Officer at the Global Change Impact Studies Centre (GCISC), Ministry of Climate Change (MoCC), Islamabad Pakistan. He has also worked as a Research Assistant at the Centre of Excellence in Climate Change Research (CECCR), King Abdulaziz University (KAU), Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
In pursuit of his study, he has participated at the international level in many top institutes in the world including Hokkaido University Japan, International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Italy, European Geosciences Union, Austria, American Geophysical Union, San Francisco, USA, New York University (NYU), Abu Dhabi, and King Abdulaziz University (KAU) Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
His interest includes the study of Earth System Physics including volcanic and nuclear aerosols and their Climatic Impacts. He uses one of the world's best supercomputers (Shaheen) to conduct his experiments with Earth System coupled Models. He has presented his research work on "Radiative Forcing Impacts of Large Explosive Volcanic Eruptions over the Middle East & African Region" at EGU, Austria, and at International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Trieste, Italy.
Address: Building 1, level 2, Earth Science and Engineering Department, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Thuwal, Saudi Arabia.
