Here, we reviewed clinical pathogenesis, signs, symptoms and treatment against black fungus. The conclusion revealed that use of immunosuppressant to combat Covid-19 also increases the risk to get infected with mucormycosis. Patients with hyperglycemia, ketoacidosis, solid organ or bone marrow transplantion, liver cirrhosis, neutropenia are more susceptible to get attacked by Mucormycosis moulds. Early diagnosis, removal of predisposing factors, timely antifungal therapy with surgical removal of all infected tissues and adjunctive therapies are four major factors to eradicate Mucormycosis.

It is attributed to compromised immunity status of individuals with poor oral and nasal hygiene. It got rapidly progressed and become a visible threat to the life among the delayed diagnosed cases. Therefore, new threats and pathogenesis are required to understand the prevention and treatment of the disease. Dengue is the most common arthropod born viral disease but unfortunately no effective antiviral treatment is available till now. Two case reports were done to illustrates the pathway of Mucor mycosis in dengue and typhoid infection, admitted at Tertiary Care hospital of Jabalpur District. Data was collected through interview with the case and care taker and case file review. These were the case of rhino-orbital Mucor mycosis attributed to compromised immunity during the treatment of respective infection. The early diagnosis, prompt Treatment with necessary surgical intervention are the essential steps to slow down the disease progression as well as successful outcome.

The chromatographic separation was carried out on Agilent 1120LC Compact system with Binary gradient system connected to UV-Absorbance Detector. Acetonitrile: (30mM) Potassium dihydrogen phosphate buffer pH adjusted to 3.0 with o-phosphoric acid (60:40 v/v), and flow rate 1.0ml/min with an injection volume of 20 μL was selected as it gave sharp symmetric peak for APL with minimal tailing and with desired elution graph. The separation was carried out at a room temperature and the eluents were observed by UV-Vis detector set at 236 nm. The retention time of APR obtained was at 4.46 minutes. The calibration curve for APR was linear (r2= 0.995) over thetested concentration range of 10-60 μg/ ml with LOD and LOQ of 0.93 μg/ml and 2.82μg/ml respectively. A recovery of APR in tablet formulation was observed in the range of 98.40-100.00 %. Thus the proposed method for APR was found to be feasible for the estimation of APR in bulk as well as pharmaceutical dosage form.

The structural features have been arrived from their elemental analyses , magnetic susceptibility , molar conduction , FAB mass , IR , UV-Vis , 1 H NMR and ESR spectral studies. The data show that the complexes have composition of the ML 2 type. The UV-Vis , magnetic susceptibility , and ESR spectral data of the complexes suggest an octahedral geometry around the central metal ion except the VO (IV) complex, which has a square-pyramidal geometry. The redox behavior of the copper and vanadyl complexes has been studied by cyclic voltammetry. The antimicrobial activity of the ligand and its complexes has been extensively studied on microorganisms such as Salmonella typhi, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis, Aspergillus niger, and Rhizoctonia bataicola. It has been found that most of the complexes have higher activities than that of the free ligand. The nuclease activity of the above metal complexes shows that the complexes cleave DNA through redox chemistry. In the presence of H 2 O 2 , the complexes are capable of cleaving calf thymus DNA.

Estrogen and estrogen receptors exert important roles in its genesis and progression. Several cytokines have been reported to be involved in the microenvironment that promotes distant metastasis via modulation of immune and inflammatory responses to tumor cells. Estrogen receptor genetic polymorphisms and several cytokines have been reported to be associated with breast cancer susceptibility and aggressiveness. To investigate roles of genetic polymorphisms in estrogen receptor alpha (ESR1) and interleukin 6 (IL6), breast cancer patients and control subjects were recruited from the Division of Head, Neck and Breast Surgery (Siriraj Hospital, Bangkok, Thailand). Polymorphisms in ESR1 (rs3798577) and IL6 (rs1800795 and rs1800797) were evaluated by real-time PCR in 391 breast cancer patients and 79 healthy controls. Associations between genetic polymorphisms and clinicopathological data were determined. There was no association between genetic polymorphisms and breast cancer susceptibility. However the ESR1 rs3798577 CT genotype was associated with presence of lymphovascular invasion (OR=2.07, 95%CI 1.20-3.56, p=0.009) when compared to the TT genotype. IL6 rs1800795 CC genotype was associated with presence of extranodal extension (OR= 2.30, 95%CI 1.23-4.31, p=0.009) when compared to the GG genotype. Survival analysis showed that IL6 rs1800797 AG or AA genotypes were associated with lower disease-free survival. These findings indicate that polymorphisms in ESR1 and IL6 contribute to aggressiveness of breast cancer and may be used to identify high risk patients.

There is currently no disease-modifying treatment though several symptomatic medications exist with modest benefit on cognition. Acetylcholinesterase inhibitors have a consistent benefit across all stages of dementia; their benefit in mild cognitive impairment and prodromal AD is unproven. Memantine has a smaller benefit on cognition overall which is limited to the moderate to severe stages, and the combination of a cholinesterase inhibitor and memantine may have additional efficacy. Evidence for the efficacy of vitamin E supplementation and medical foods is weak but might be considered in the context of cost, availability, and safety in individual patients. Apparently promising disease-modifying interventions, mostly addressing the am...
