Welcome to Polterkisst, a quirky, supernatural adventure where love, ghosts, and unfinished business collide! You play as a ghost whisperer, teaming up with your fan and a landlord to rid a haunted apartment building of its stubborn spectral resident. The ghost, a loveless jerk in life, is trapped in the mortal realm due to his inability to find true love. His only way to move on? A genuine true love’s kiss. But since he’s, well, dead, he’s counting on you to help him out. And he'll be sealing you into his apartment until you do.

I like how different the two human guys are (which I presume are LI's?)
The fact that they are so opposite allows different people to find one they like, regardless what type they like. ^_^

I don't get why the mc won't even try to ask the ghost to let the others leave in exchange for talking tho.
I mean... I assume normal people would try to save them.
(Personally I just want to talk to it in privacy so I won't have to watch my words. lol)
I sincerely hope the ghost is taking the piss about the true loves kiss thing tho. Cuz that's just... sucky on so many levels.
(Shit writing, horrible for the one who falls in love with it only to loose it, take your pick.)

Fyi: The kiss scene with 'enthusiastic' zooms in on the wrong guy. Might wanna fix that.

"EAT a cigarette" might be just his sarcastic way of speaking, but it isn't the first weird grammar I've seen.

Interesting.... It's not a pure visual novel.
But the bit where you discover things aren't as annoying as these things tend to be either.
And it seems to interveawe with the story better than most these point-and-click find-the-hidden-stuff usually do.
I will LAUGH if it turns out his unfinished business is a hatemail he didn't send. xD
This game is actually pretty deep.
And on some things I totally get him.
(I'm more of an optimistic nihilist who think you can do anything you set your mind to do, but I still get it.)
I think Chris would be someone I'd love to sit at a rooftop and drink and smoke with while discussing philosophy and life.
He's a pretty interesting guy.
(That my bias tho. I somehow doubt the average person will agree with me on this.)
I don't really understand why there is no choice to just... bring him with you home. o_O
For the 'final choice' I mean.
The ending was...confusing?

I was hoping there was a way I could be with my sweet darling....
Non of the endings seemed particularly happy tho.
More like...some less bad than the others, and one confusing one that may or may not have been happy-ish, but I didn't fully understand what was going on?

Overall this story really draws you in and makes you invested in the hot ghost guy, very quickly. ^_^
(Or pity him if you're that kind of person I guess. Probably. Pity is beyond my skills.)
The artwork is pretty good, and the storytelling captivating.
The little find-the-clues game was...not bad at all.
(And I usually hate that kind of stuff.)
And it tied well into the story.
The cute little fridge-slime was funny. lol
I'm sad we never got the story behind it. I'm kinda curious. 😂
I wish there was a choice to just bring him home with you and have a nice ghost romance tho.

I think power couple is Alistair’s solo love ending 🤔 Unfortunately not. I ran out of time making variations/details of the endings since i decided to allow for poly endings 💀 but something to think about for the future.

I can´t help but fall in love with the stinky ghost... I emphathise with all of the plot and I need more content about him!! I kind of wish there was some +18 stuff?? I hope that in the future you could make some epilogues or like an extension dlc ^^

I LOVED THE GAME!11, Especially the wonderful Chris, I can't stop thinking about him. :3 The other characters are also very cool, Sky seemed very cute to me and I loved Allistar's personality. Anyway, this game is beautiful, I'm in a difficult situation for me and this game makes me forget about it. I hope this game becomes more famous!11! :DDD Sorry if it's a little badly written, right now I'm using the translator hehe.

Man, I have so much to say about this game, but I'll just list some of my opinions about it
1 I really liked the characters designs and personalities
2 If you choose to befriend or romance one of the characters, you can genuinely feel the chemistry, making the relationship with them feel authentic and not plain at all (something not every visual novel manages to achieve)
3 It was so much fun having so many endings (16!!crazy)
4 This isn’t just about this game in particular, but your projects in general. Chilling Devotion and Polterkisst are absolute masterpieces. I can’t wait to play CRUSH and see what other amazing games you release in the future. Thank you for making such creatives games

I’m so glad you liked it ^^ I appreciate the passion. I’ll probably come around and polish up some things as well as add epilogues to some of the endings. I said it somewhere, but I did want to have some 18+ optional stuff and that would prob be in the epilogue.
BUT I’ll be working on my other game Chilling Devotion before that. Lots of stuff to look forward too. I’ll WILL be making some Valentine’s Day art of the gang tho. Prob post it on my socials soon ^^

i genuinely didn't expect to like this as much as i did-- i haven't even played most of the other endings and i already wish i could see more of these lil guys! (tho i don't think i have the heart to do the mean ones tbh..... T-T)
my heart yearns for Chris in spite of how much i thought i'd dislike him-- this man is a bastard the first time you see him and yet something about him intrigued me in a way i didn't expect... finding out about his damned backstory was just a whole ??? to DDD: kind of ride. the other romanceables were adorable too and i very much adore them, but Chris hits different. an asshole he may be, but he's my asshole now.
bless you for damning this sad, pathetic, wet cat of a ghost man into the depths of my psyche. i will be thinking about him and lovingly shaking him around like a maraca <3

The endings are combos of romances to deaths/exorcism. Making the love interests poly...also killed me with all the endings lolHELPPP we appreciate the blood sweat and tears put into the game...o7 thank you for the hint! I'll try it out now ^^

Gameplay:
phoenix wright style sprites (animated) and investigation-ish, danganrompa 2 sprites standing around. Especially with the ‘trial of chris’ at the end if you were to sever the tether. I had a lot of aspirations, but ran out of time to do a lot of them lolol maybe next time.
Story: Chris was inspired by my ex lol I have a lot of mixed feelings about chris.
