The P2P network traffic is classified into different classes based on four applications namely, Bit Torrent, PPLive, Skype and MSN. The concept of Hypersphere based classifiers being able to minimize the effect of outliers has been adapted in this work. The experimental results show low false positive and false negative ratio thereby achieving high precision and recall rate.

A general model is developed and some particular cases have been derived. Appropriate parameter estimations have been carried out and optimal release policies are discussed. Finally, an example is presented.

The idea of the game is to optimize (maximize or minimize) the number of playing stones depending on the objective of the game. There are many versions of this game. In this paper, we describe briefly these games and give details of the Matabele version, as it has a winning strategy that can be modified and applied to solve an assignment problem. We have known that the Hungarian method of assignment always results in an optimal solution to an assignment problem, and its iterative attempts are such that it moves from one infeasible to another infeasible solution such that it is moving towards a feasible optimal solution, until it has found one. Although optimal solution is guaranteed, it may be accomplished in some cases after many iterations. An approach based on the Tsoro strategy gives a feasible solution, but does not guarantee that solution is optimal. Hence, the Tsoro feasible solution can be regarded as an upper bound on the assignment optimal solution and the Hungarian method solution as its lower bound. If the difference between these two bounds is not significant, Tsoro solution may be accepted as a good working solution. In this paper, we first describe the Tsoro game in general and its Matabele version in particular, and based on the Matabele version of Tsoro, we present an hybrid algorithm for an assignment problem.

ABSTRACT Two stochastic models on the growth of software errors under an imperfect debugging envi... more ABSTRACT Two stochastic models on the growth of software errors under an imperfect debugging environment are discussed. The errors that are introduced into the software during the developmental phase are called primary errors, and these are assumed to be distributed according to a non-homogeneous Poisson process. Imperfect debugging of primary errors generates further errors, called secondary errors, into the system. These secondary errors are assumed to be generated according to a cluster point process. Two types of cluster point processes are considered, the Neyman-Scott and the Bartlett-Lewis cluster processes. The mean value functions for the number of primary and secondary errors are developed for both models and we use these to obtain some important reliability measures. We also develop a cost model and obtain its corresponding optimal release policies. Finally, we discuss parameter estimation based on the criterion of maximum likelihood and present a numerical example.

The interplanetary magnetic field (IMF), B, proton density, DP and proton temperature, TP are enhanced ahead of magnetic clouds that are preceded by a shock, while strong magnetic field density and low TP are southward Bz is a dominant parameter for producing MS type GMSs, whereas Bav , sunspot numbers (SSNs) and V also play a significant role for development of MS type geomagnetic storms. Generally the value of Ap index increases, acquiring maximum value on the day of maximum activity. In 50% events the decrease in CR intensity starts few hours earlier than the arrival of shock associated magnetic cloud at earth, while in 25% events, it starts at the time of occurrence of MS type GMSs at earth with no cloud event at earth.

The potential economic benefits of Bt brinjal hybrids in terms of yield gain, reduction in insect... more The potential economic benefits of Bt brinjal hybrids in terms of yield gain, reduction in insecticide-use, and increase in net returns per hectare have been reported in this study. Results have shown that adoption of Bt brinjal hybrids would provide yield gain of 37 per cent and reduction in total insecticide-use of about 42 per cent over non-Bt hybrids. Other benefits like increase in additional brinjal production (30 thousand tonnes), savings from insecticides (` 47 crore) against Fruit and Shoot Borer (FSB), increase in net returns (` 11029/ha), and reduction in price of brinjal output (3%), etc. would be at 15 per cent adoption level. With increased adoption level of 60 per cent of Bt brinjal hybrids would provide, additional production of 119 thousand tonnes, savings from insecticides against FSB Rs 187 crore, increase in net returns ` 44117/ha and likely reduction in brinjal price by 15 per cent. Simulation of gains adopting Bt brinjal hybrids has shown that country may gain aggregate direct economic benefits between ` 577 crore and ` 2387 crore annually at 15 per cent and 60 per cent adoption levels of bt brinjal hybrids, respectively. The major gains will accrue to consumers (66% of total) and rest would go to the farmers. In brief, Bt brinjal offers a large scope to increase income of farmers, reduce its cost to consumers, improve food safety and reduce health hazards and environmental pollution. The results of study may be helpful in policy decision on Bt brinjal adoption in the context of smallholders agriculture.

The hypothesized relationship tested in this study is that land inequality influences access to/ use of resources in rice production and in-turn influences productivity. Market imperfections aggravate the negative effect of land inequity

We studied one affected patient for each mutation and two unaffected carriers with the 11,778 or 3,460 mutation and three carriers with 14,484. All subjects were homoplasmic except the two 3,460 carriers, who showed 80% and 15% of mutated mtDNA. 31P-MRS at rest disclosed some abnormalities in all subjects. In particular, the phosphorylation potential was below the normal range in all cases. During recovery from exercise, the maximum rate of mitochondrial ATP production (Vma) was reduced to 27% of normal in the 11,778 mutation and to 53% in the 14,484 mutation patientlcarrier groups. Mitochondrial V , , was within the normal range
