CBRN events can put first responders at risk in the form of hazardous chemical, biological, radioactive, nuclear agents. This study aims to measure the risk perceptions of search & rescue and firefighters involved in the first response in CBRN events against the hazards at the scene and to evaluate the relationship between their attitudes towards pre-event preparedness. Within the scope of our study, we designed a survey to address the risk perception and preparedness for CBRN events based on a 5-Likert scale. The study was conducted on 134 search & rescue and fire brigade workers who had the potential to take part in responding to CBRN incidents in Adana province, who agreed to fill out a questionnaire. As a result of the study, participants were found to have a significant positive linear relationship between CBRN crime scene hazard risk perception levels and preparedness levels. First responders should know and identify hazardous materials they may encounter in any CBRN event. During the preparedness process, attention should be pay to the fact that the pieces of training on CBRN hazards increase the risk perception of first responders.

Üniversite öğrencilerinin afetlere hazırlıklı olmalarını etkileyen özelliklerinin belirlenmesi afetlere karşı hazırlık ile ilgili konularda planlama yapmak açısından karar alıcı ve uygulayıcılara fayda sağlar. Aynı zamanda afet risk algısı ile birlikte tehlikeler hakkında farkındalık oluşması ve güvenlik kültürünün benimsenmesi sağlanabilmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı üniversite öğrencilerinin afet risk algıları ve afet öncesi hazırlıkları ile ilişkisinin değerlendirilmesidir. Bu çalışma anket yöntemi uygulanmıştır. Hatay Mustafa Kemal Üniversitesi merkez yerleşkesinde öğrenim gören üniversite öğrencilerine anket uygulanmıştır. Verilerin analizi Bağımsız Örneklem T-Testi ve Basit Doğrusal Korelasyon Analizi kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Katılımcıların afet risk algısı düzeyleri ile hazırlık düzeyleri arasında pozitif yönlü anlamlı ilişki olduğu saptanmıştır. Afet riski algısında afet çantası bulundurma, cinsiyet ve afet eğitiminin önemli etkiye sahip olduğu fakat afet deneyiminin anlamlı bir etkiye sahip olmadığı saptanmıştır.

Üniversite öğrencilerinin çoğunun sağlıklarını olumsuz yönde etkileyebilecek olan yaygın durumlar mevcuttur. Aynı zamanda, ilerde sağlık hizmeti verecek olan bireylerin toplumun beklentilerini yerine getirebilmesi, toplumun sağlıkla ilgili sonuçlarını iyileştirmesi ve topluma örnek oluşturması açısından sağlık okuryazarlığı düzeylerinin yüksek olması beklenmektedir. Bu çalışmada, sağlık bilimleri fakültesinde öğrenim gören lisans öğrencilerinin sağlık okuryazarlığı düzeylerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Çalışma Eylül-Kasım 2022 tarihleri arasında 296 öğrenci ile kesitsel olarak tamamlandı. Veriler bir sosyal medya uygulaması üzerinden çevrimiçi anket aracılığıyla toplandı. Verilerin analizinde t testi, tek yönlü ANOVA, post-hoc bonferroni, kruskal wallis, Tamhane's T 2 , spearman korelasyon analizi uygulandı. Bulgular: Öğrencilerin sağlık okuryazarlığı düzeyinin, toplam ölçek puanına göre 106,54±15,75 puanla "yeterli" olduğu bulundu. Kadın öğrencilerin puanları erkek öğrencilere oranla daha yüksek olduğu görüldü (t= 3,846, p= 0,000). Dördüncü sınıftaki öğrencilerin puanları diğer bütün alt sınıflara göre anlamlı olarak daha yüksekti (F=7,028, p=0,000). Kendine ait bilgisayarı olduğunu belirten öğrencilerin olmayanlara göre (t=2,277, p=0,023), internet erişimi olan öğrencilerin olmayanlara göre ölçek puanları anlamlı olarak daha yüksek bulundu (t=2,145, p=0,033). Teknolojik yeterli olma durumu ile ölçek puanı arasında pozitif yönlü anlamlı bir ilişki görüldü (r=.214, p=0,000). Hemşirelik bölümündeki öğrencilerin ölçek puanları diğer bölümlerdekilere göre anlamlı olarak daha düşük bulundu (F=15,315, p=0,000). Sonuç: Bu çalışmada, Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi öğrencilerinin sağlık okuryazarlığı düzeylerinin yeterli olduğu saptanmıştır. Sağlık okuryazarlığı düzeyini daha üst seviyelere taşımak adına eğitimciler öğrencilere liderlik edebilir.

Bu çalışma kapsamında, sosyal medyanın afet ve kriz yönetimindeki doğru ve güvenilir olarak kullanımı üzerine kapsamlı bir literatür taraması yapılmış ve elde edilen verilerin incelenip değerlendirilmesiyle, Twitter’ın afet ve kriz yönetiminde nasıl kullanılabileceği konusunda yapılan ve eksik kalan uygulamalar ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışmanın amacına göre, özellikle Türkiye’de ve dünyanın farklı bölgelerinde meydana gelen afetlerde sosyal medyanın kullanımı araştırılmıştır. Bir afet sonrasında sosyal medyanın mevcut kullanımları, eksikleri ve nasıl kullanılması gerektiği ortaya konulmuş, afetlerde yaşanan iletişim eksikliği, koordinasyon ve yönetim zafiyetini azaltma amaçlı tespitler yapılmıştır. Araştırmalar göstermektedir ki, sosyal medyanın gereksiz kullanımının önüne geçilememiş, verilen bilgilerin yanlışlığı düzeltilememiş, Twitter’da yapılan paylaşımlara yetişilememiş ve kategorize edilememiştir. Botulinum toxin injections are previously reported to be a noninvasive alternative method for treating masseteric hypertrophy. However, there is a debate on finding an ideal place for injection. The aim of this study is to document the anatomical landmarks for defining the motor nerve entry points (MNEPs) of the masseteric nerve in the masseter for effective botulinum toxin injections. Twelve sides from six adult fixed cadavers were used for this study. The MNEPs of the masseteric nerve were defined according to standard landmark lines including the orbitomeatal line (OML) and the line (VL), which intersects the mid-distance of the OML to the tip of the angle of the mandible. F lap surgery is a common procedure in plastic surgery practice. Flaps are used for various purposes including covering poorly vascularized areas in donor fields, reconstructing full-thickness defects of the eyelids, lips, nose and cheek, repairing congenital and acquired defects, and providing contour for protruding body areas (1). Various alterations, primarily in vascular balance, occur after flap elevation. Vascular support should be provided and postischemic effects should be minimized for flap viability. While blood flow at the proximal base of the flap is preserved after elevation, blood flow in the distal aspect of flap is reduced to 20% of normal values after approximately 6 h to 12 h. The entire flap circulation reaches 75% of normal values within one to two weeks, and returns to normal levels in three to four weeks (2,3). Flap necrosis occurs secondary to systemic factors (hypotension, smoking, vasoconstrictors) influencing microcirculation or secondary to physical compression of the flap (dressings, positioning, hematoma). Partial or complete flap loss has plastic surgeons seeking interventions that may decrease the amount of distal flap ischemia and subsequent flap necrosis. Chemical or surgical delay procedures are among the most common interventions (4,5). Many agents that enhance or reduce flap viability have been reported in the literature. Investigated agents improving flap viability include agents suppressing free radical production (6,7), nitric oxide (8,9), sildenafil (10,11), vascular endothelial growth factor (12) and vasonatrin peptide (13). Unfavourable effects of smoking on wound healing and flap necrosis are well known. Many studies in the literature have demonstrated that cigarettes and nicotine enhance the rate of necrosis in random pattern flaps (14-22). Possible reasons for smoking to cause necrosis in skin flaps are both multifunctional and complex. In this paper, we analyze the complexity of topological conjugacy of pointed Cantor minimal systems from the point of view of descriptive set theory. We prove that the topological conjugacy relation on pointed Cantor minimal systems is Borel bireducible with the Borel equivalence relation ∆ + R on R N defined by x∆ + R y ⇔ {x i : i ∈ N} = {y i : i ∈ N}. Moreover, we show that ∆ + R is a lower bound for the Borel complexity of topological conjugacy of Cantor minimal systems. Finally, we interpret our results in terms of properly ordered Bratteli diagrams and discuss some applications.
