Weekend Recap

This was one of those weekends where we did a little bit of this and a little bit of that, and now it’s Sunday evening and I’m left wondering how the past two days went by so fast… and not quite ready to start another week. Friday night bubbly tasting line-up… trying two new ones that were recommended… all so good!

The Aperol Spritz || An Easy Cocktail For The Long Weekend Ahead | Itsy Bitsy Indulgences

I wanted to share the cocktail that’s been on heavy rotation over here since we returned from our trip: The Aperol Spritz. They’re basically an Italian summer in a glass and SO easy, refreshing, and delicious. They follow an easy 3-2-1 ratio, but I love that you can easily adjust it to your liking- I prefer a bit more Prosecco to Aperol! Maui Favorites | Itsy Bitsy Indulgences

A couple of favorite restaurants from our Maui trip include Hula Grill (great Mai Tai, and the girls love the Hula Lessons) and Merriman’s (their Mai Tai is our favorite, and you can’t beat the spectacular views… my tip would be to skip the formal dining room and sit out on their beautiful deck that has sweeping views….). We also love Prison Street Pizza (always order it- it was too windy for our pizza + beach picnic this time but we ordered it to the room)… the pizzas are *huge* and so good!

We cheers-ed to the end of an amazing trip to Maui with my kids, husband, and parents. It was filled with lots of yummy cocktails - especially Mai Tais - sunshine, and lots of laughter. Mother Daughter Time | Itsy Bitsy Indulgences

My Mom has the best green thumb, and I always look to her for advice on our garden. She’s always willing to come over, roll up her sleeves, and get her hands dirty to help us out, so continuing the Mother’s Day celebration with this fun little afternoon together was special. Weekend Recap | Itsy Bitsy Indulgences

We spent the majority of the weekend (Friday and Saturday) under a storm watch and while we (TJ + I) ventured out for a lunchtime date on Friday, once the heaviest part of the storm rolled in, we were hibernating at home… heat turned up, cozies on, fireplace roaring… and wondering how to keep two little ones occupied while being cooped up all day long (we aren’t used to this). Answer: UNO, Puzzles, Floor Is Lava, bracelet making, coloring/drawing… and then a double movie night…
