This has been a major challenge in patients with acquired immunodeficiency. However, the ethical aspects of protecting individual rights of other people related to the patient are very important. Therefore, in this study, a case has been presented with the ethical challenge of protecting the confidentiality of a patient with acquired immunodeficiency in the hospital. Case Report: The patient was 44 years old, admitted to the urological ward of hospital because of kidney stones. The patient had already diagnosed with HIV and hepatitis B. The became dismayed and disconcerted by the fact that other people in the hospital knew his disease and by failing to keep the secrets by the custodian, and after his confrontation, without treatment and crushing surgery, he was taken off the hospital with satisfaction. Conclusion: The ethical challenge we face in this study is to keep confidentiality of the patient, which is of autonomous principles and very important, and on the other hand, because of the fatalities of these diseases, informing and maintaining the safety of the other treatment teams is also very necessary. As a result, the solution is to provide confidential information to the staff and the label on the patient's case.

Research of Copper (Cu) concentrations in various body specimens have suggested an association between Cu levels and breast cancer risks. This systematic review and meta-analysis summarize the results of published studies and examine this association. We searched the databases PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar and the reference lists of relevant publications. The Standardized Mean Differences (SMDs) between Cu levels in cancer cases and controls and corresponding Confidence Intervals (CIs), as well as I2 statistics, were calculated to examine heterogeneity. Following the specimens used in the original studies, the Cu concentrations were examined in three subgroups: serum or plasma, breast tissue, and scalp hair. We identified 1711 relevant studies published from 1984 to 2017. There was no statistically significant difference between breast cancer cases and controls for Cu...

The aim of this study was to compare the Iranian and Scottish Intensive Care Nursing Master's Degree Program (University of Edinburgh). Methods: This comparative study was conducted using the Bereday model in four stages of description, interpretation, comparison, and educational models based on the educational program of the critical care nursing master's course in Iran and Scotland. Result: The results showed that in Iran, curricula have been specially developed with a focus on nursing in the critical care units. In contrast, the goal of the Scottish curriculum is to develop nursing based on clinical evidence-based decision-making. Conclusion: Although the master's degree in intensive care nursing is free in Iran, clinical courses are not given as much attention as the curriculum in Scotland. The existence of part-time courses, planning courses aimed at training academic staff and online classes can increase the strength of the curriculum of this course in Iran.

Lack of job satisfaction and quitting are the main work-related outcomes of incivility. This study aimed to explain the concept of workplace incivility among nurses. Methods: In this research in 2014, using qualitative approach, 50 hospital nurses affiliated to Golestan University of Medical Sciences were participated. The sampling method was purposeful with maximum variation. Data were collected by semi-structured interviews; they were stopped after data saturation and analyzed using conventional qualitative content analysis method. Results: Eighty percent of participants were female, with 3-20 years of work experience. The concept of incivility was characterized with "inferiority", "verbal/non-verbal aggression", "threating", "blaming", "ignoring", and "isolating" in terms of interaction with coworkers, superiors, physician, patients, patients' attendants and cleaning staff. The participants experienced uncivility in a range of mild to severe and felt as it was very stressful; insulting from patients was perceived as less personal, so they could endure it better. The participants did not always know the best way to respond to uncivil behavior, how to deal with the agent of abusive behavior, or the mistreating behavior was not reported. Conclusions: The results showed that uncivil behaviors occur to varying degrees and in different aspects in the nurses' workplace. The persistence of such behaviors and feelings as well as lack of supporting system could lead to frustration from profession and stress.

The aim of this study was to identify VAP in the intensive care unit (ICU) and its association with the severity of the disease. This descriptive-analytic study was conducted in Golestan University of Medical Sciences (Northern Iran). In the present study, 239 patients undergoing mechanical ventilation hospitalized in ICU were selected through non-random sampling. Data were recorded by using APACHE II criteria and diagnosis of VAP was made based on clinical criterion and physician confirmation. Data were analyzed by independent t-test, Chi-square test, Mann-Whitney test, and single-variable logistic test. The incidence of VAP was 19.2% and it was significantly related to mean arterial pressure (P = 0.035) and male sex (P = 0.122). There was a significant and direct correlation between the incidence of VAP and the increase in the value of gastric residual volum...

Methods and Materials: This case study of nursing care was based on Watson's human care model and Caritas care process on a patient with burn trauma and fracture. Data gathering method was qualitative method using semistructured interview. Care of the client was performed according to Watson's human care model in two phases: First phase. Interview based on Watson's human care model with the patient to identify care needs and problems second phase. Implement interventions based on the classification of identified needs and problems based on the ten care factors and caritas care processes and receive feedback. Case Study: This study reports the case of a 17-year-old adolescent with trauma of the 3rd and 2.5 th burns on the palms, fingers and wrists and from 5 fractures of the palms and fingers 3 and 4. Having a psychological problem during treatment, such as misery, loneliness, misery.
