The character combination “<<” can be transformed into “«” (left-pointing double angle quotation mark) by TeX software.
Thus I suggest to adjust the TeX code “\texttt{<<}” to “\texttt{<{<}}”.

A script metavariable that does not specify an origin, using \texttt{<<},

💭 Would it be a bit nicer if the proposed simple text adjustment could be picked up by the main Coccinelle developers directly?
