The bulky or complex drive mechanism requirement restricts the practical use of this locomotion interface and stability problem results in the induction of fear psychosis to the user. This paper describes a novel simple treadmill-style locomotion interface that uses manual treadmill with handles to provide needbased support, thus allowing walking with assured stability. Its simplicity of design coupled with supervised multi-modal training facility makes it an effective device for spatial learning and thereby enhancing the mobility skills of visually impaired people. It facilitates visually impaired person in developing cognitive maps of new and unfamiliar places through virtual environment exploration, so that they can navigate through such places with ease and confidence in real. In this paper, we describe the structure and control mechanism of the device along with system architecture and experimental results on general usability of the system.

The current communication embodies an in-depth discussion of colloidal nanocarriers with respect to formulation aspects, types, and site-specific drug targeting using various forms of colloidal nanocarriers with special insights to the field of oncology. Specialized nanotechnological approaches like quantum dots, dendrimers, integrins, monoclonal antibodies, and so forth, which have been extensively researched for targeted delivery of therapeutic and diagnostic agents, are also discussed. Nanotechnological patents, issued by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in the area of drug delivery, are also included in this review to emphasize the importance of nanotechnology in the current research scenario.Colloidal nanocarriers provide almost endless opportunities in the area of drug delivery. While the review mainly addresses potential oncological applications, similar approaches may be applicable in other conditions with a requirement for targeted drug delivery. Technologies including quantum dots, dendrimers, integrins, monoclonal antibodies are discussed, along with US-based patents related to these methods.

Early fault detection in machineries can save money in emergency maintenance cost. Therefore, it is necessary to fault detection of various parts of the machine. In this paper we present the detection of running speed frequency and bearing defect frequencies of an induction motor using vibration data through the wavelet transform and the Hilbert transform. Bearing defect frequencies are frequencies at which roller elements pass over a defect point. The analysis result shows that the proposed method can diagnose faulty bearing.
