Der Gute Fippe hat mich wieder drauf hingewiesen das morgen ein GeoHash in meiner Nähe ist. Wir hatten uns darauf hin verabredet !

Fippe

I planned to go to this Geohash by train, since it was to windy for cycling. In the morning I learned that no trains would go to Hildesheim via Laatzen/Sarstedt, so I planned to go via Lehrte/Sehnde instead. In the afternoon I called JoDaEmPa to let him know that the trains were also cancelled on that route and I would not be at this geohash.

I planned to go to this geohash and to be there at hash o'clock, because I thought, that there are other geohashers nearby living and of course, the geohash wasn't accessible, it would be a XKCD-meetup. I didn't announce myself, because it was not clear, if all trains were running after the storm.

Am Samstag den 19-02-2022 rief mich dann vormittags leider Fippe an das heute die Züge ausfallen ! Da wir ein mini-Geocacher-event ( 3 Geocachs und ein Anywhere WheriGo Cache ) den ganze Tag hatten, auf dem Hildesheimer Schützenplatz und dann Fippe leider kein GeoHash-Mobil am Start, fuhren Kalle und JoDaEmPa dann alleine noch zum GeoHash des heutigen Tages in unserer HomeZone ! Ground-Zero war aber auf Privat Grundstück doch als Geheim-GeoHasher erlaubten wir uns im Dunkeln soweit wie möglich an den Punkt herran zu schleichen und es gelang sogar die App auf grün sprinegn zu lassen ! AAAaaber was ist das ... Ist das ein Bienen Stock der im Winter, brummt oder was macht diesen Krach ? Findet es durch die Fotos selber raus ! Wir sind dann wieder vom Privat Grundstück runter und haben von Nord uns West noch ein Foto gemacht ...sowie von Oben ;-) Ps.: Hier noch die Tier Jagd auf dem Schützenplatz : Hasenjagd auf dem Schützenplatz

After planning the expedition on Friday, on Saturday morning I looked at the timetables and found the information, that the train leaving Ihringshausen at 7.53 was cancelled, the train leaving Göttingen at 9.04 was cancelled and the train leaving Elze at 10.02 was cancelled too. But the connection with leaving Ihringshausen 8.53 was green for all three trains. Therefore I started the expedition.

The train at Ihringshausen arrived in time. In the train, after leaving Hann. Münden, there was an announce that the railway between Hann. Münden and Eichenberg was blocked and a Schienenersatzverkehr was installed. But I would lose one hour. Ok. I am on the run, what can hinder me. The bus arrived at Eichenberg and there I waited 20 minutes for the next train. That was 35 minutes late. I arrived at Göttingen at 11:20. And I got the information that all Metronom-regional-express-trains to Hannover were cancelled. But in the hall of the station a man with a Metronom-cap told something about another Schienenersatzverkehr with a bus to Hannover, just waiting at the bus station. I took it. With this bus I arrived at Nordstemmen at 13:35. The information panels at the platforms informed me, that all trains in the north were cancelled. And suddenly a bus arrived at the station with the destination sign „Hildesheim Hbf“ and I took this bus and arrived at Hildesheim at 14:30, only three hours later then planned.

Instead of a long walk through Hildesheim I made only a short one. I waited near the hash until hash o'clock and walked to the house. I took proof of not reaching the hash. There were no other geohashers at this easy-to-reach place, so it couldn't be a XKCD-meetup. Then I went back to the station.

Trains weren't running then. But all local and regional buses were running and there is a line from Hildesheim to Alfeld. I had to wait one hour and then the bus was going. And I was informed by the driver that the bus wouldn't take the direct connection over the mountains but would make a detour with no stops to Alfeld. And it arrived there 20 minutes before the timetable. Just as I arrived there a Metronom-train arrived, but it didn't run to Göttingen, instead only to Northeim. The next Metronom was cancelled again, but there was a DB-local train to Göttingen and with this train I traveled to Göttingen and the next train to Kassel.
