In contemporary development context, the concept of participation is synonymous with sustainable and people-oriented development. Sustainable in the sense that, it strives to meet the social, economic, and political needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. This is in line with the viewpoints of scholars that participatory development communication becomes one of the strategies towards raising people's consciousness to achieve self-development.

associated with it. Therefore, this study focused on appraising the communication campaigns on self-medication among undergraduate
students of Kogi State University, Anyigba. Survey research method was employed for this study using questionnaire to collect data. From the analysis of the data collected, it was discovered that there was inadequate spreading of the coverage of the posters used for the

These findings thus point to why inappropriate self medication still prevails among students in the university. Thus, communication campaign programmes in the university were found to

Methods: Forty-five adult male rats were randomly divided into nine groups (n = 5). Groups 1 and 2 received physiological saline and 15 mg/kg bodyweight of DMBA, respectively. Groups 3 and 4 received 15 mg/kg bodyweight DMBA and were treated with 15 and 30 mg/kg bodyweight of MOF6, respectively. Group 5 received 15 mg/kg bodyweight DMBA and was treated with 10 mg/kg bodyweight of MSF1.
