I am absolutely outraged the local NBC affiliate in Utah:KSL, is censoring a new TV show about a gay family. What one Utah mother said, "A few weeks ago, I was watching the Olympics with my 8-year-old son when a promo came on NBC for a new TV show called "The New Normal." But our local NBC affiliate doesn't think it's okay. Personally,I don't think it's okay that a TV station owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons) is censoring network TV. http://www.change.org

The Paul Ryan Vision of America: Ban Abortion, Defund Contraception, Outlaw In Vitro Fertilization
Representative Todd Akin's comment about "legitimate rape" was no gaffe. It was a glimpse into the GOP War on Women. Republicans are just days away from ratifying a personhood amendment as part of their party platform, which would ban all abortions, with no exceptions for rape or incest. 32,000 rape survivors get pregnant in America each year. And the Republican party would ban abortions for all of these women. http://www.democracynow.org/2012/8/13/the_paul_ryan_vision_of_america

In Avraham Azrieli’s Novel The Mormon Candidate , is a conversation: “We know our fellow Mormons. All they need is a spark to ignite their core of righteousness, to set free their suppressed recognition that the Church must change. They will fight to end racism, to end women’s abuse and subjugation, to end homophobia, to end the dictatorship.” “A revolution! Just like the Arab Spring, We will instigate a Mormon Spring.” My Hope is that this book will ignite such a Mormon Spring.
