Joost Daalder

I am a Professor of English (currently 83) at Flinders. I taught and researched there starting as a lecturer in 1976, and eventually retired as a Professor in 2001 with full academic status and as an active scholar, publishing in 2015 my most extensive and thorough editions, those of *The Honest Whore*, parts 1 and 2 (each as long as an average play from the period), for Digital Renaissance Editions. These are read (alas) by only a small number of people, in contrast to my most popular article on Shakespeare, which, on "the Flinders Academic Commons", where some of my work is readily accessible, has attracted nearly 60,000 readers to date (7/12/2021). My interest is in particular in the Renaissance period, although I also publish on modern literature. I was born in 1939, in the Netherlands, but have spent most of my life with English-speaking people.
