374K views · 81K reactions | Chili Oil Garlic Butter Pasta 🍝 Ingredients: * 160g of spaghetti * ��5 garlic cloves, minced * ��1.5 tbsp of butter * ��2 tbsp of chili oil * 2 tbsp of honey * ��2 tbsp soy sauce * A splash of pasta water * ��40g of grated parmesan * ��Chives, minced To garnish: * 1 egg * Parmesan cheese * Chili Oil Steps: 1. Cook the pasta to al dente for about 10 minutes. 2. For the sauce, combine chili oil, honey, soy sauce and hot pasta water. Set aside. 3. Next, heat the butter in a pan. Then, add garlic and cook until fragrant. 4. The , add the sauce to the pan and cook for 1 minute. 5. Add the pasta to the pan and give it a good mix. 6. Then, add the parmesan cheese and chives. It’s been a couple of years since my last visit to Malaysia and I am itching to go back but in the meantime I will be cooking a lot more Malaysian dishes at home. The If you’ve never heard of hokkien mee before you gotta give this dish a try. The flavor and color that the sweet dark soy give this dish is highly addictive. Authentic hokkien noodles can be hard to find in the states but you can sub for udon or lo mein noodles.
